Well after their first purchase of only 12,500 shares perhaps they are keen to get there hands on any loose shares whatever the price.
On a seperate note I wonder if the further .5% interest in UEP caused the initial surge to 12p?

last results stated 83.5% so an extra .5% acquired, can only assume the extra shares have not listed as yet.

The RNS states that NSN have 205million UEP shares, which is 84% of the share capital, but I read that there are 484million UEP shares?
My take on this is that the 84% does not include the 240million recently issued shares for some reason. Don't know why this would be. (Edit: or a typo and 84% should read 44%)

If so KM, your post 922 is true rather than 924, unfortunately.

NSN now has 84% of UEP! Equates to a stake worth : £42.7m

NSN's market cap £24m

Should blast through 100p on toward 160p on this news.
NAV must be nearing 200p. Current price 85p!

Those PNG licences must be mouth watering.

Yep. NSN's 42.3% stake in just UEP is now worth just shy of £22.3m!!
NSN Mk Cap - £25m

Add in the rest of the assets,

847mt of Coal at Fox Creek - Should easily be worth double NSN's mk cap. That's a mega amount of Coal.

£10-£12m cash

From the balance sheet and adding in UEP's value now and Fox Creek if you take $40m at a bare min, NAV would be circa £1.50.

They should float off Fox Creek for a couple times current market cap of NSN.
Always have a nice lot of attractive assets, and ace management.

I did a dummy trade earlier. Showing 50k to sell at 82.25. Not sure whether it is buyback or other interested parties bidding for stock.

MDY today has shown that if you are fairly selective - there are some real bargains out there - To look at the balance sheet it has $55mill worth of assets - Post balance sheet events are the Fox-creek for $5mill and UEP PNG licences -

The threat of a buyback in the offing seems to have done the trick with regards to bumping up the share price. Not really caught the imagination of your average retail punter yet. When that happens we might start to reflect the underlying NAV of our portfolio.
