10/9/2008 10:41 | win win indeed. Very promising and things continue to fall into place. | the drewster
10/9/2008 09:40 | Given that the new deal only excludes medical applications we must also assume that FW boys might not be over the moon, however its win, win, for Toumaz. | spekky
10/9/2008 09:00 | No Drewster,it does not have an RNS number and consequently is ignored by advfn (ie. it is not flagged by "A"). However, part of the blurb in this link (about SAW filters) from infineon,is a carbon copy of something I read on the FENIX chip,I think Toumaz IP has already been designed into current infineon chips. "In addition, this IC eliminates the need for SAW (Surface Acoustic Wave) filters, which further reduces system costs and overall electronics real estate. The Infineon OMNITUNE TUA 9001 saves up to 16 square mm of board area compared to existing solutions."......... | spekky
10/9/2008 08:46 | It is/was. | the drewster
10/9/2008 07:27 | What a deal,brilliant! Should have been RNS'd | spekky
08/9/2008 16:51 | I think as far as football is concerned it will work both ways, physios (and the manager) will also be able to pinpoint total lack of effort,England players beware.........I hope it will also be a valuable tool in athletics in the run up to 2012 olympics, hopefully all sports around the world will have access to the sensium fitness devices. I see sportsmen/women being monitored in the same way as a ferrari engine in F1. | spekky
08/9/2008 15:31 | Imagine a scenario where the physio can monitor various aspects of a player unobtrusively to make decisions before (visible) problems arose. Manchester City might be a good place to start. | the drewster
08/9/2008 13:58 | Excellent Drewster, I was assuming the "sports-focused business originating in the Far East" might also be at the Chicago event but nothing on the list of participants jumps out at me. | spekky
08/9/2008 13:46 | I think you will see the devices on some professional footballers in the near future to monitor for signs that they may not feel until it is too late. Some guidance due next week. | the drewster
08/9/2008 13:43 | Keith Errey in San Francisco and Chicago in the next few weeks,at the Chicago event........ "The session, entitled "Intelligent Wireless Body Monitoring: Platform for a Digital Fitness Revolution", will explore how intelligent wireless body monitoring technology is at the heart of the emerging digital fitness revolution. Attendees will learn how Sensium is set to unlock whole new areas of understanding and new revenue opportunities for the professional fitness market." | spekky
03/9/2008 08:57 | I like this bit "the move from research towards development progresses and the anticipated rollout of products in 2009 unfolds" So we may start generating some significant income next year. The reason for Zurich i think is because nanoscience is based in Switzerland Mailing address in Europe: Nanoscience Inc. c/o Corvus Management SA 30 Quai Gustave-Ador CH-1207 Geneva Switzerland Tel: +41 22 308 6999 Fax: +41 22 308 6998 | the shuffle man
03/9/2008 08:08 | I think the change to Toumaz Holdings is an obvious step but I'm not sure why Zurich is the venue for the EGM,any guesses anybody? Could it be that they will announce a major new investor? OR something to do with quoting on another stock market? Drewster, any whispers? | spekky
01/9/2008 10:35 | Should have interims soon (3-4wks) so hopefully a clearer picture of whats happening.Would be nice to see losses narrowing but no doubt the increasing R&D and extra staffing at Toumaz will ensure losses continue for some time yet.Much depends on the level of Cardinals' contribution, the European project etc etc. | spekky
22/8/2008 10:21 | Yes,I agree with your view but I doubt that FW will be bought cheaply, the far east investors (Winston Wong etc) know the semiconductor/chip business inside out.FW never seems to have trouble raising more cash which is why NANs share is diminishing......tha | spekky
22/8/2008 08:23 | spekky, you know I believe FW is just a means to an end rather than a key part of the puzzle, I suspect IMG writing down may be some sort of manoevre to try to buy the resy on the cheap. Let's wait and see. | the drewster
21/8/2008 16:14 | Very true, always takes longer to arrive, then when it arrives its already out of date........lol. | spekky
21/8/2008 10:24 | supernumerary Thanks for that info, its a fact that theres some way to go yet but the USA is behind the curve on all things digital,FW is in the part of the globe which will adopt before all others.I'm convinced FW is a frontrunner in this field and thats why IMG are so interested. The AMx technology will enable decoding of all digital tv no matter what signal standard is adopted and it will use a fraction of the power to do it.......personally I've always been a sceptic on mobile tv (the need for it) but better brains than mine reckon its the killer application. | spekky
21/8/2008 08:34 | Apparently during IMGs agm the subject of FutureWaves came up.A writedown (based on fair value principle) of one million pounds appears in the IMG accounts specifically related to FW,reason being the slower than expected uptake of mobile tv. Well,I for one didn't realise IMG had "actual" cash invested,so I am now more convinced than ever that there is more to this relationship than "you scratch mine,I'll scratch yours".........when the world economy improves we'll see a good return on FW and I would be very happy if IMG was the eventual owner. | spekky
19/8/2008 08:15 | Hmmm....second change this year.Wonder why.? | spekky

14/8/2008 10:35 | I believe a key piece of the jigsaw (for something I heard suggested a little while back) is under some personal pressure and has issues to resolve which has taken away a focus he had here. That is nothing more than a hiccup and minor delay (assuming it is true) so I hold with some degree of confidence still. Targets have gone out of the window and the timeframe a little harder to predict, but hey, that's how the game goes. | the drewster
14/8/2008 10:16 | Interestingly named Mr Pok joined FW in May (missed it).Good pedigree and mores the point,I guess they must be selling something to somebody.FW were at Broadcast Asia 2008 (also missed).........so.. Drewster, any gossip/city rumblings? | spekky
14/8/2008 10:09 | .see repost | spekky |
