19/12/2016 23:03 | I'm not questioning the motives of the Henderson RNS, I am just saying that from experience these things are not very clear, and I have been frustrated by this for a long time, and I met a person that knows a lot more than me and I posted the gist of what he told me Take it at face value, but he was very persuasive on the subject. We didn't talk about the company in question. | onething
19/12/2016 22:58 | It's not harsh, it's a view on the movements of a large investor from a very credible insider. You have to take my word for that. Not my view, but from someone that knows what goes on. People can read what they want into publicly announced holdings movements. In my opinion from some years of observing what we hear in these regulatory announcements it is as clear as mud. | onething
19/12/2016 22:50 | RNS slippy has not posted ;) | syd777
19/12/2016 22:45 | Bit harsh, Onething? Many subscribers here welcomed the movement of Hendersons Holding.Looks to me, examining charts around such RNS's, Henderson know a thing or two. | jfacwc
19/12/2016 21:51 | Hendersons toing and froing over the last year has been no reliable indication of anything. I spent a pleasant evening by chance with a well known fund manager on Tuesday. It turned out he owned the holiday cottage I had rented. I took the opportunity to explore the world and outlook of a private investor compared to the likes of Hendersons, Goldman, etc. His advice was that the actions of these funds was so far removed from what a private investor would think important it is best not to even consider these things. Goldman sells a huge position? It probably has zero to do with the company in question. More to do with some internal strategy. Hendersons crosses a level? Only Hendrrsens will know why. But again, hard to directly pin that to the specific prospects of the share in question. Helpful? Not really. Enlightening? Yes. | onething
19/12/2016 21:07 | Firm keep that sell button finger off the screen;) | syd777
19/12/2016 20:18 | Missed that Henderson RNS good news | firminator1
19/12/2016 20:01 | Enteleton with 25 million TVs being released by Samsung next year as ME confirmed at the AGM and with CFQDs monitors as well DOW will need the second line going live by Summer 17.IF LG dose brings out just 1 CFQD at CES17 then Merck will also be supplying Samsung which is one of their aims.I am expecting roumors and news flow to hit boiling point before and during CES 2017 ;) | syd777
19/12/2016 19:47 | Well done Syd. If these are Dow dots, we'll all be in clover. Mustn't count chickens! Even if they are not, the marketing/advert push for CFQDs gathers steam by the day. Big theme for CES 2017 ?? Surely Nano in a great position to capitalize ? Firminator- Pleased to hear that your Henderson chum reflects good opinion of Nano at H.Global. Nice to see them increasing their long position on Friday, 16th. A wee bit of recent history ref. H.Global: Between 31/3/16 (that was the day Nano announced it was breaking the exclusive contract with Dow) and 16/12/16, H. Global has increased its long position from 44.88M shares to 49.60M shares =20.84% of Company shares.(I'm not including the Contracts For Difference). H.Global is by far and away the largest II. Following H.Global are Baillie Gifford (11.32%) and Mr Richard Griffiths(7.97%). Looks pretty damned solid II support to me ! | enteleon
19/12/2016 19:19 | Syd, both links dinna work cap'n. Are these using Nano? | shroder
19/12/2016 19:15 | The war has begun ! Samsung is showing up as well, with early reports pointing towards a host of TVs hitting the stands - most notably a new HDR, quantum-dot display. Chief rival to the OLED technology favoured by LG, Samsung claims its quantum-dot tech delivers a greater range of colour than OLED and is pushing it hard. A new model will only ignite this big screen war further - which has us excited. | syd777
19/12/2016 19:03 | The monitors have now been released in Canada As the industry's first curved gaming monitor to feature quantum dot technology, the 24-inch CFG70 monitor expresses brilliant and accurate colours across a 125 percent sRGB spectrum. This added luminance amplifies previously-hidden gaming details in both light and dark settings. The monitor also employs an environmentally-safe | syd777
19/12/2016 18:38 | What are you looking at Andy capped. ? Mate of mine works at Henderson and reviews a company corporate governance as part of due diligence before Henderson invests. Apparently Nanoco was rated highly (effective decision making, clear RACI) regardless of all the noise you might believe. | firminator1
19/12/2016 17:55 | Looks like Henderson have increased their holding. | andycapped
19/12/2016 17:38 | Kuss:Yup, just putting your previous comment in overall context. Syd - :-) | kenirogas
19/12/2016 17:34 | kenirogas, Difference between PC monitors and gaming monitors though. Gaming monitor sales expected to be 1.2 million units in 2016. | kuss1
19/12/2016 17:06 | Keni the Korean tabloids English is similar to slippys,It's either 20 thousand monitors or 20 million WON sold out in Korea only in the last month. | syd777
19/12/2016 16:55 | Must be an incorrect quote, Andy, supply of PC monitors worldwide is about 10m/month across all manufacturers. Can see why you got excited, though! | kenirogas
19/12/2016 16:54 | NT deleted your post? After reading that was ASUS annual sales only. | syd777
19/12/2016 16:36 | You can read it for yourselves- it said 20m monitors. Sounded a heck of a lot, and based on Kuss' estimate about 25 years of supply! | andycapped
19/12/2016 16:25 | MR OZ Philips did through QD vision. | syd777
19/12/2016 16:21 | andy , Samsung are not strangers to Cadmium. They have been purported as saying no more for TV Display. My point is monitors are not necessarily part of that strategy. I thought Phillips introduced a Cadmium containing QD monitor just this year to EU. | mr.oz
19/12/2016 16:14 | Kuss and that 20 million might be in the value of the WON as the sales relates to Korea. | syd777 |
