I don't know what all this apparent need for secrecy is all about..Angle just announced a project and named Abbott no problem. It does make me question the substance here of the announcement. I already have a view on the substance of management.

Unnamed deal with unknown revenue - in fact content less. It could be the CEOs gran buying one dot for all we know. Pointless rns and I'm surprised the advisors didn't intervene and say as much. All this does is remind people how this company has operAted in recent years

I would have thought there was already enough production capacity for Nano's dots with Dow,Merck etc without building more

correct germesi. Nanos updates will have no credibility (to me) until there is some commercial substance. They have been in this mode for many years.

Well, if the thread's response is anything to go by Nanoco may as well not bother updating the market at all.

If the customer is willing to finance CAPEX (not sure how this is structured. Loan or repayment through discounted sales?) then I would say the customer desires the product and is cashed up enough to finance the production and expansion of it. The RNS also makes reference to the deal 'strengthening the balance sheet'

Let's see how the price responds. Insiders will know more than we do

A little light on information but should be enough to get the share price moving today.

Nanoco Group PLC
08 February 2018

This announcement contains inside information as defined in EU Regulation No. 596/2014 and is in accordance with the Company's obligations under Article 17 of that Regulation.

NANOCO GROUP PLC

("Nanoco" or the "Company")

Material Development and Supply Agreement

New partnership includes infrastructure investment, development, milestones and commercial supply agreement

Nanoco Group plc (LSE: NANO), a world leader in the development and manufacture of cadmium-free quantum dots and nanomaterials, announces that it has signed a Material Development and Supply Agreement with a large, undisclosed US listed corporation (the "Partner").

Under this agreement, Nanoco will scale-up and mass produce novel nano-particles for advanced electronic devices and supply them from its state-of-the-art production facility in Runcorn, UK. In preparation for the quantity of materials needed for these markets, the Partner will fund the capital expenditure required to expand Nanoco's Runcorn facility. The commercial terms of the agreement include payments for success based milestones, and commercial supply of materials, both of which will strengthen Nanoco's balance sheet. Based on the current timelines, commercial supply is anticipated to begin early 2019.

Michael Edelman, Chief Executive of Nanoco, said:

"This transaction not only exemplifies the potential of our technology, but also the recognition that Nanoco can continue to pursue broad partnerships in diverse markets.

Our deep expertise in the development and mass production of highly differentiated nanoparticles has enabled us to create partnerships, and future revenue streams, with partners around the globe. We are very pleased to announce today's agreement, and we look forward to updating you on our progress."

just bought again and showing as a sell

Very brave! Why "invest" in a company that is in a pretty constant downtrend and has a CEO who has only ever sold shares (bought any?) and is rarely in the habit of making any decent announcements or producing any good financials?

There are far better places to put your money I would say and I really wonder why I ever bought any shares in this company at all. Thankfully I exited the majority(unfortunately at a loss) much higher up and only have a token holding to remind me of my stupidity. If I ever make a profit on what I hold now it will be a miracle. Needs to reach around 200p LOL!

It says delayed until July, in the great s scheme of things and nano in particular, it is hardly a game changer. That is assuming of course auo are using nano cfqd which we can't be 100% is the case.if they are using nano dots orders will have been placed to meet production demand as they have to progress through the supply chain

actually a good opportunity for the nano board to top up their own holdings? any chances of that happening? Also, you can always rely on nanoco taking the lead in a falling market.
