But Nano has credentials otherwise Dow wouldn't give a stuff or Merck or Wah Hong. Pump and dump assumes no future. On the cusp of a new industry. Nano a major player.

surely you believe you're gonna get those confirmed sales or otherwise you'd sell up or open a short.

Notimpressed would never put a stop loss on a share price so volatile. Will just need plenty of tlc next few days / weeks and balls of steel (or admittance of defeat)

that delayed 500k is a sell worked through the day.
Thought there was something in the pipe when seeing all the AT and 'O' buys going thru earlier but nothing in the sell column. Now we know why.
Not bad volume again to support another up day. Appears to be steady underlying demand and the mo - 2% or 3% a day soon adds up.
When you compare with that strong rally last June/July we're actually seeing better volume but at the mo the share price has not raced ahead to the same degree. That's looking at the weekly chart which irons out some of the minor bumps. Around 45/46p would be final proof that the share price has reversed - a close above that level would hopefully signify the share price has put in a final bottom and a 'baby' bull is underway.

so we have 13 days to go, could be interesting either way,
certainly a good idea to have up to date stop losses in place.

"initial orders to in excess of the 50-100kg range - not sufficient revenue for break even.??"

It would be sufficient for me to break even :).

One of the more interesting companies on the market.Could easily 10 bag over next 5 years.Powerful bullush chart pattern in place should take the price towards mid 60's as first stomping ground.

Petepitstop - the figures you have look about right to me - they are what I had estimated for Hansol supply to Samsung - so if anything based on volume they probably under-estimate Runcorn-based supply. I seem to remember from reading the Dow royalty model recently that the royalty is based on total sales (finished film) not just Dow dots in resin to coaters - which is important. There was not a 10x production yield improvement - I clarified that statement with CW at the time - the yield improvement was very significant - around 2x - the 10x figure quoted is capacity improvement at Runcorn. I'm a little less cynical of the recent upswing as of today but still can't see where the deals will come from? TPV looked the most likely later this year but I wouldn't expect initial orders to in excess of the 50-100kg range - not sufficient revenue for break even.??

I think the next announcement will be the Merck factory. Another $60 million project bringing total capex together with Dow to some $120 million. Add in Runcorn and Wah Hong and we've got quite an industrial base paid for by others plus operational expenditure etc.. Not bad for a company only valued at £100 million.

Plus Dow benefiting from yield improvements by a factor of 10...

Nice to see continued strength in the share price There does appear to be some investors who at the mo anyway are lurking but happy to acquire in relatively small chunks.
The 200k showing up this morning case in point.
It might be hard to sustain this steady growth but t the moment a stealthy approach appears to be working. Can they keep a lid on it....

It's all the more remarkable considering the wider markets getting walloped yesterday and the futures down almost another 100pts.

If I was the suspicious type i'd say someone perhaps knows there's a snippet of good news on it's way. As I'm not I won't mention it.

There were suggestions CFQD film was selling for about $60 per regular size TV.

This kinda matched with the suggestions 1kg created roughly 1500 TV films, or about $90k per kg.

If so, Nano will get 10% of the QD resin sales, but the film coaters will probably take a cut as well. Dow's film coaters are not obvious, SKC Haas were probably one of them but it sounds like there are a few in play now, replicating the Nanosys model (who basically licensed their technology to 4-5 companies).

500kg x $90k = $45m. 5-10 year plans get interesting from there especially if Dow/Merck really ramp up to the 10,000+kg ranges.

You can fiddle about with the figures as much as you like and still be wildly out. However, it is always worth putting a pen onto the back of the envelope to give you something. I had resin production out of Runcorn at $30,000/kg but was told by ME at the AGM it was worth a minimum $100,000/kg ($100/g). I will stick with my figure as the initial resin is to 'kick start' production at Merck and Wah Hong plus a little for UK sales. Furthermore, I have the royalty payments from DOW and MERCK resin production to NANO at 10%, or $3/g. I have the royalty payments from Wah Hong film coding production at $1/g.
The royalty payments go virtually straight to the bottom line and the profit margin at Runcorn is around 60%. POTENTIAL output at Runcorn is now 500kgs x $30,000 = $15,000,000 x 60% = $9,000,000. BUT, the question still to be asked; will NANO ever reach its potential? I have little doubt, however, about management's desire for the company to survive in some form.

I suspect poor old onething has changed his name, but still hanging about. Re minuscule sales and margin - we can see who sold near the lows - the edison report is clear.Sales rising exponentially into tens of millions with gross margin 75%+. Nice economics (if you understand economics).
