Bought more early on 125p. Update should calm things & enable a steady rise upwards hopefully.

"even with a more cautious dividend policy" I'd prefer NAH to grow its business organically rather than by share diluting placements .... 7.5% yield covered twice? What is not to like.

Well that's my second top up since the results. Visibility on future earnings is poor. The PI division is evolving under the new claim restriction regime, the ABS ventures are in their infancy, and the residential business is in a difficult trading environment. But NAHL have a habit of generating profits somehow and even with a more cautious dividend policy the yield seem to me to be reasonably assured at 8%+ on the current share price. Any sign of growth and the PE ratio of below 6x will look pretty silly.

I find Morningstar quite good for direction: hxxp://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:LNSXFEUj4UUJ:quotes.morningstar.com/stock/analysis-report%3Ft%3DXLON:NAH%26region%3Dgbr%26culture%3Den-US%26productcode%3DMLE%26cur%3D+&cd=9&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=uk Fair value pitched at 157p now.

"Anyone know who the seller is?" NAH sold heavily into the 12p dividend last year from 162p .... ended up down to 121p or so then rallied strongly through the interim dividend back up to 190p ... At the current price, you have a projected dividend cover of 2 with a yield close to 8% .... hard to beat these numbers in the current market ... .. it might go as low as 111p quite easily and lower still if the MMs are happy to shake the tree ... In the final results they said: Dividend Policy In 2017, we have invested over GBP6.5m in PI cases through our ABS ventures and with our PLF partners. With positive early indications from both ABS structures as well as the identification of ways of enhancing their future returns, we expect to accelerate this investment in 2018. Whilst our internal projections show significant banking facility headroom available we wish to maintain this to preserve maximum operational flexibility and to allow us to take advantage of opportunities which may arise in due course. Accordingly, the Board intends to fund further ABS investment partly by amending its dividend policy. With effect from the 2018 interim dividend, dividend cover will be increased from 1.5x to 2.0x EPS though the total dividend will continue to be paid as to one third at the interim stage, with the balance to be paid following full year results. We will review our dividend policy again in 2020, having regard to our rate of cash generation and to our debt levels, both in absolute terms and as compared to our operating profits.

I'm surprised to see this is paying over 12%. Has the price fallen too far, or is the dividend likely to reduce substantially? I'll do the research, but if there's a quick answer it would be helpful. TIA

10% down? 137.5p mid yesterday lunch and 136.5p at 4:30. 129.75p mid now. After going ex-dividend by 10.6p, that is a good rise of about 4% in my book.
