Asos did ok, not that they are in the same ballpark. I'll invest once they ditch the CEO...

I note the negative, pessimistic tone of the posts here, but i do spot an investing opportunity with N.Brown.The CEO is moving the business online and with the prospects of gbp/usd improving in the short/medium term,i'm prepared to take a punt at 214p.I've been in this share before, having enjoyed a good yield because of the depressed share price There is full year results in 5 weeks(27/4) and i'm confident the 6.65% yield will remain or we might even get a little more! Good Q3 after Christmas in Jan,so there's reason to be a little more cheerful.Ok it hasn't been that cold a winter to promote a big upswing in outer garments, but then again it hasn't been that mild either.

Salpara111 - I suspect you may be correct - I bailed out recently at a small loss as I suspect with the fall in the £ the trading margins of most UK retailers will be under pressure and with the price increases as a result of devaluation profits will be down across most retailers .

Relegated from the FTSE 250. The valuation and divi look pretty attractive but I'm not entirely convinced that it is not a value trap.

I think nbrown is still showing the after affects of it changing from catalog into digital, its new build and dematic system still has its gremlins to be worked over

N Brown's share price has lagged behind other retailers by a significant %, over the past 4 months at least. Looking at the fundamentals I cannot explain it. So there must be other reasons why the price is depressed. The market cap is large enough for it to be analysed by brokers. big sellers selling shares in drips? If anyone can shed light on this, it would be good, otherwise I am seriously thinking of liquidating my holding. I do not like holding on to shares which behave contrary to my perception.

N Brown’s forecast price to earnings ratio of 9 is paltry compared to the 94 times commanded by shares in Asos, the darling of online fashion retail. N Brown can do what Asos did for the 16 to 30-year-old market for the 45-plus market If you compare it to the ratings of Amazon and Asos, N Brown looks like a stock that is anomalous from a rating perspective.
