However, the best performing FTSE 100 share of the year was not a bid candidate itself, but a predator. The crown goes to Xstrata, up an incredible 109.5pc in 2006 – well ahead of its blue-chip peers, but a more modest gain compared with Aim-listed engineering services group Redhall, which surged 480pc on bid talk and strong trading. Technically, the Aim laurels go to Netcentric, which soared 880pc to 1.57p after a reverse takeover.

Just to keep folks feet on the ground, but also help identify companies that might 10-bag, does anyone know which companies 10-bagged in 2006?

The only one I'm aware of was NTA.

Crosby and Ryan are looking to grow TomCo Energy PLC to at least the same size as Cadence Resources Inc over the next few years.....i.e. $450M = roughly £250M = more than 50p a share....a serious MULTIBAGGER!

My nomination for a possible 10 bagger has to be BPRG. After the shenanigans and disappointments of 2005, this year has seen the company being greatly strengthened from a management point of view, distribution network put in place and significant contracts very near to being signed. I'd be happy with it 10-bagging over two years, but will stick my neck out and suggest it has the potential to get there sooner.

Feb cardioq is too fiddly to use and displaces easily. add to that the risk of oesophageal trauma and the recent introduction of edwards lifescience's vigileo monitoring which is much more accurate and safe and preferred (by me and my colleagues at least). You'd have to look away from anaesthetists to sell that one (I've used it and don't particularly fancy it). try the physicians, they can't do arterial and central lines (and don't give a toss about oesophageal trauma).

My nomination for 2007 is RIFT. too much worldwide interest in PNG to ignore. The upcoming commercialisation faesability report is most likely to be very positive. plus the results of the seismics - make this too good to resist a punt on for 2007.

I think a 10 bagger for 2007 could be BGT. The following rns was released a couple of days ago. The aim is for the game to be released into the run up to next christmas.

ahh well when i was doing x 100 i figured if its already gone up to 18.75, it would then have to go to 1875 which i thought was a bit unrealistic.
but now that I have been corrected, we can include it again in the top ten, but if its only a top ten and you still think it will 10 bag based on its price now ..then you can choose which other one needs to be taken out.

SOU - 5.5 to 55.0? - Oil Company, share price is moving up.
PLW - 3.875 to 38.75? - Web page visit building momentum.
RIFT- 4.375 to 43.75? - If they find transport for their oil find.
IIR - 17.75 to 177.5? - Undervalued plus possible google litigation.

Angel, a bagger is times 2 - as in 100%.

A 10 bagger is times 10, 10 times your original price.

50 bagger is times 50.

100 bagger is times 100.

Angel - its that you multiplied the starting price by 100 in post 37, not by 10, that got me confused.

Hmm I thought a bagger was to go up 100% so a 10 bagger was to go up 1000%.

PP,PVR will be a 10 bagger in 2007. The co. is planning as many as 7 drills with Aje and Blackrock rigged and ready. ExxonMobil will drill 2 wells in the megaprospect dunquin and if a farmin is put together in q1 we may see a drill in other megaprospect spanish point.
There are currently 5 farmout discussions on Celtic Sea prospects and drills are likely in 2007.
West Lennox drill results will be issued when 24LR is announced,hopefully in January. There is also likely to be share consolidation here also.

Angel, are you looking for 10 baggers ( x 10 ) or 100 baggers ( x 100 )

Your calculations above in post 37 suggest your looking for 100 baggers, and you ain't going to get any of them.
