31/12/2004 12:11 | Just been listening to an old classic Suzzane Vega:- Tom's Diner but it made me think of something else.Help needed here. There was tune that I heard in the early 90s maybe late 80s. I remeber it being by DNA?? or called DNA. I heard it on vinyl. Can only remember that it sampled something classical (I think?)and it makes me think of the TV show the Tripods? Maybe the video was based on that? And it contained alot of "Woah Yeahs" in. YOu know the loop that most early 90s tracks used and were made famous by Rob base in "it takes two" Any thoughts? | hooya

08/12/2004 23:02 | A few bands on my play list these days.. Kings of Convenience So many bands today are king of this and king of that... KoC are my favourite. songs to listen for - Misread, Gold in the Air of Summer, I Don't Know What I Can Save You From (Royksopp remix) Temple of the Dog (Hooya - this will be up your street!) If your a fan of Pearl Jam and Soundgarden then this is defo worth a listen as it is a collaboration of Eddie Vedder and Chris Cornell. Band went defunct in the early 90s, but they have some class songs - Hunger Strike, All Night Thing, Say Hello to Heaven Death in Vegas Their new album (Scorpio Rising) is a mixture of dark ethereal beats with a touch of class vocals. Vocal appearances from Liam Gallagher, Paul Weller and Mazzy Star amongst others - Hands Around My Throat (from new Sony Ericsson Advert), Scorpio Rising. Random one off tunes - Jamie Cullum - Frontin omg, i love this track - a jazzy, relaxed rework of Frontin' by Pharrell Featuring Jay-Z Kelis - Millionaire Getting lots of airtime on the radio these days... im not a fan of hiphop, but i could listen to this all day. Jude Tzuke - Stay with me Till Dawn very chilled song from this one-hit-wonder Thats all for just now... let me know how you get on.. theres plenty more! btw... anyone with similar tastes and wants to discuss or share suggestions can email me at.... m44ttg at hotmail.com | mattgordon
