29/4/2013 12:44 | Some nice volume today | moomintu
18/4/2013 16:20 | jeez, down some more - my purchases seem to be the kiss of death at the moment. | sourgrapes2
18/4/2013 13:43 | I've bought a few today, but time will tell. IMO the way to judge a retail stock is at ground level i.e. have a walk around their stores. The last collection was far from desirable: ugly clothes in unwearable patterns, dowdy overpriced bags in hideous colours..... it really only becomes a "buy" again when they go back to concentrating on good quality classics in tan, chocolate, black etc. that are easy to co-ordinate with office wear. In their last trading statement they were in denial, blaming it on circumstances outside their control (global economy, lack of tourists etc.blah, blah). This worries me a bit. A big plus for me is they're made in England. I wish they'd use that as a marketing tool more. I think they could well be on somebody's shopping list, though. I'll probably buy some more if there's a big market set-back over the summer. | sourgrapes2
12/4/2013 14:48 | Great long term support here imo: Directors timed their buys to perfection? | cockneyrebel
12/4/2013 11:34 | Have to say that it still looks mighty expensive to me but it does appear to have found some support around this level so I am tempted to take a modest nibble. | salpara111
11/4/2013 15:40 | Just bought some on sb. Looking cheap | moomintu
11/4/2013 15:18 | Has anyone bought after recent low? | moomintu
11/4/2013 14:15 | perhaps they are looking to take the company private eventually. 56% owned by the Ongs. | irenekent
11/4/2013 14:05 | Another £95K director buy. Do these directors know better than the mkt? Double bottom? CR | cockneyrebel
09/4/2013 10:34 | Director buying today. | irenekent
22/3/2013 12:16 | Short down to 300p | ny boy
22/3/2013 08:23 | Dead man walking, these so called luxury goods players are over-rated, the majority of the population can't afford to buy one of their purses let along a over priced handbag. The prices are getting ridiculous and all these Far Eastern buyers are looking for the very top end of the market which Mulberry isn't, despite their desperate marketing. It's just a good quality maker of leather goods but nothing more and pricing structures need to have a reality check! The bubble burst at over 2000p which was just ridiculous, the share price should be trading no more than 200-300p | ny boy
16/12/2012 22:13 | Just had a look at the website. If my husband bought me one of these garish, overpriced things for my Christmas then I'd swing for him. Stick to the shiny jewellery chaps | nolens volens
06/12/2012 15:18 | IG won't let me short them today. | gargoyle2
06/12/2012 09:55 | Stocks up - sales up - stores up - costs up - new factory - extra staff + more staff will this = more sales - higher profits or just a great risk? Risk to reward not looking as good as the share price imo, I expect cash to continue to fall with the extra training required for all these new staff before production is able to step up to any increase in sales (if the can that is).Next set of figures should be telling. | clocktower
06/12/2012 07:48 | Agreed, but I was saying that at 800p and watched it go to £20 and a billion pound market cap! It does look like the hot air is being released at last though. Thankfully I didn't short back then, but there may still be an opportunity prior to the nest update. | goliard
06/12/2012 07:45 | Gentlemen, MUL is capitalised at 1,155p at £690m. TNAV is £60m. Profits in 2013? Not sure but, say, £20m and dropping. Tax at 30% takes one back to £14m or a PE of 49. It all depends upon whether one thinks profits are falling. I do. But others may be kinder. Either way, the share price is far far too high. I would have thought 500p would be closer to the mark. 02/11/2012 16:06 | So it hit the £10 and now seems set to bounce and follow BRBY northwards for a while. | clocktower
23/10/2012 21:04 | BUFFETT100BLN 25 Jun'12 - 13:08 - 319 of 327 edit Yep, it is. This still trades on a high 35 times earnings. It can easily drop to £12 from here, no problem. I would maintain you will see this back at SUB £10 before any sustainable increase. cough cough! ;) | buffett100bln
23/10/2012 08:56 | Shorted this along with Burberry last week! Ker-Ching! :-) :-) Headed for just above 500p (first target). | itchycrack
23/10/2012 08:14 | 833 - 800 i reckon | global mega boom
24/7/2012 15:16 | Seems pretty settled around these levels now - we cannot expect much movement before further news I guess. | clocktower |
