14/10/2016 11:27 | Still heading in the right direction, the current state of the Pound should help sales. | clocktower

04/4/2015 18:46 | Perhaps, but why would Christina Ong want to undermine her own business? I think it is more likely to be an inept Board who lucked out during the Boom after the 2008 crisis in riding the affordable luxury wave and the renewed confidence in the UK retail market, then shot themselves in the foot by trying to be a luxury designer brand, when it is perfectly obvious the Asian market including PRC loves all things British and yet reasonably affordable. That's why Burberry does so well. And that's probably why they picked the name Mulberry in the first place. There are really strong talented UK MDs who would make a much better job of leading this business profitably and driving expansion in Asia. | hereford29
03/4/2015 09:12 | Totally agree Hereford. Must be the influence of the Ongs. | irenekent
01/4/2015 13:21 | They have since appointed a CEO from a luxury jewellers and a creative Director from a mass market eurobrand, it is supposed to be a British company with an affordable luxury cachet aimed at the discerning buyer. Neither of these gentlemen have worked in a similar business model. Why have they not learned from he last CEO appointment, whose disastrous leadership alienated the design engine of the company, decimated the companies profitability and upset the core customer base. Clearly as a quintessentially British brand it needs an English CEO and an English Creative Director. | hereford29

30/3/2015 10:22 | Prada`s figures show the decline in the luxury markets Mulberry serves. Must be tough fighting to swim against the tide of decline. | clocktower
23/12/2014 11:27 | I note that they seem to be recovering slightly. Maybe Christmas handbag buyers have decided to support the home team. Mulberry's Christmas video is a hoot, although it does seem to imply that its clientele are spoilt upper middle class snobs! I'd better shut up. | irenekent

14/10/2014 09:15 | Independent headline-"Mulberry issues new profit warning as lower-priced strategy fails to deliver" Lower price....well thats a start. The mistake MUL initially made was to take on Prada and the like with "We dont want to sell t-shirts for £150, sell them for £300"! | williemanjaro
14/10/2014 09:09 | No mention was made about production at the new factory, in view of the huge decrees in sales. Must be a serious worry and are overheads out of control? | clocktower
14/10/2014 08:48 | market cap £345m for what is surely just a brand at the end of the day. Weird world we live in. | angus17
