16/10/2009 08:58 | I still hold wads of these from long ago; and a few from recent months when they were unloved and forgotten; still have latent potential and we all live in hope. Another to keep your eye on is little Medicsight - MDST - not really a micro pharma but in the medical field; they have a super duper piece of kit to scan for colon cancers. All on the thread - and they are steadily increasing their global footprint. Loss making currently but once they get the licence for USA they'll absolutely coin it - already in Canada and Japan. No debt - cash rich too. | philjeans
16/10/2009 08:55 | Temptation was too much to take a quick profit balcony. In at 5.29p out at 6.83p for 50k in a day is a traders delight and i never expected that so soon. I hope though it gets back to double digits soon, i can make money with that money elsewhere so not bitter if it carries on climbing and hope it does ! | 21simthy

15/10/2009 09:37 | Agree, this stock is on sale but not for long. Easy double east treble. Minster Pharmaceuticals (MPM) [5.125p / £3.02 million] The rumours of the death of Tonabersat may have been greatly exaggerated. Earlier this year, Minster's Phase IIb study of Tonabersat in migraine prevention did not meet its primary endpoint. However, an earlier but smaller Phase II trial of Tonabersat in migraine with aura had shown a significant preventive effect and these results were recently published in the Lancet Neurology. Aura is a symptom experienced before a migraine or seizure and is effectively a field of luminous multicolored lights that a patient may describe as flashing lights that he or she sees. Following up on these results, the lead investigator professor Jes Olesen, who is one of the world's leading headache specialists, last week presented a paper at the International Headache Society congress concluding that Tonabersat has the ability to inhibit cortical spreading depression which is the cause of auras. Furthermore, at the same congress, Dr Paul Durham of Missouri State University presented a poster explaining the mechanism of action of Tonabersat concluding that the drug should be useful in preventing migraine attacks associated with sensitisation. These positive findings suggest that Minster may be able to find a partner who wants to develop the compound further. In that case Minster, which currently trades at half of net cash value, is seriously undervalued. | rathkum

15/10/2009 08:46 | balcony - I agree. You wouldn't expect anyone with a track record to join a sinking ship. I'm a long term holder from the old penny share days, via the substantial consolidation, to the new penny share days. I look forward to the results ... and if they do come up with anything this will have been a good point to buy ... | grazzer
