Yes that's true re MMs mike.

I did think things looked a bit odd today. When the market spread was 2-2.2, one could only sell just over 100k shares @ 2.025 which suggested it wasn't well bid for but if one wanted to buy as little as 50k then one would have had to pay almost full whack @ 2.19. But then there was 500k available to buy. A background sell of 1m probably explains it.

Anyway I guess it'll all come out in the wash :)

Decent price for it. Reported on nex at 12.15. Looks to be a sell but who knows what is what sometimes with the mms.

1m sell reported late on NEX - as suspected there has been a seller in the background. That explains why we didn't make much headway today despite the modest buying.

Good to clear that sale without too much damage to the share price

If MOGP are going on the acquisition trail that might be why they changed broker recently...

I'm wondering if the company are considering acquisitions. Until now, this has been unlikely as they needed to get their own house in order. That process seems to be more or less complete.

They say they want to be 'mid-sized'. I wouldn't say where we are now is mid-sized.

If that is true, that means they need to grow and organic growth is going to take a long time.....you can grow much quicker if, like Victoria have done (VCP), you start taking out competitors.

If that is true, then you probably will need a market listing.

Regarding your first point, they could have opted for a bit of risk sharing while the business was finding its legs. Now that it is profitable, they may opt yo enjoy the benefits on their own.
Agree with second and third points. Market listing gives more credibility and access to finance. Very valid points.

They had plenty of opportunity to do that when they were much lower valued than even this level.

Secondly, they want to grow into a mid-sized company.....to do that they might need access to market finance and thirdly, the market cap stands more chance of growing as a quoted business than as an un-quoted one I believe.

The founder shares can still be redeemed if taken private. They already hold above 50% without the founder shares.

Yeh I think that the aim is to sell it. They have been doing it long enough now after founding the business. I very much doubt they want to take it private and continue to work.Early retirement with £3m payoff sounds about right

The Founder Shares will not be quoted on any exchange or carry a right to vote or to receive a dividend. The shares will carry the right to receive, collectively first an amount equal to the amount of Loan Notes swapped into Founder Shares by which the consideration arising on a sale by shareholders in Group attributable to Connaught Access Flooring Limited and/or Mountfield Building Group Limited exceeds £20m.

Mikey, I still hold 550k in anticipation of a rerate. However, I think the point I make is a valid one. There is nothing stopping the directors from taking it private, is there? I only hope that they don't and we see the company rerate.

I'm pretty sure 'reaping the benefits' would be taking the £3m founder shares conversion and sailing happily into retirement :)

Surely, the directors would be better off just making an offer of 2p per share and take it private. Nothing to stop them taking it private at a low ball offer of even 1p and reaping the benefits themselves. Market clearly does not believe in them, judging by the market capitalisation.

Another rise today and we are in breakout. Nothing of note on the chart until 3p. Based on those results and the year on year growth that would still be nowhere near true value.

Hopefully the seller/sellers are about done, today's action must've absorbed quite a bit?

Encouraging share price action today and refreshing to see a recovery of the morning dip rather than an all day selloff of a spike which has accompanied results of late.

Hopefully it also means we have frustrated buyers who were waiting for an extended dip that didn't materialise but who will now buy in.

Looks to me like we closed at a 3.5 year high.
