multi - not really strange as for the e commerce companies people are hoping for massive growth that will lead to good profits, therefore these shares are over priced because they have good sentiment behind them whereas the high street and retail shops have poor sentiment as any growth they may have had has stagnated.

It is funny how people look at price to sales for many of the e commerce companies, and accepts 1,5 to 2 time sales, even for non profitable companies. And then you have a company like MTC with a price sales ratio of some 0,03 and profitable, and yet noone buys it. Strange world.

KPMG called in to advise on refinancing of the business - this good news?

It would be illegal for directors to buy in knowing something that would affect the Share price positively. It's called insider dealing and they could go to jail for this.

Loganair - Its what she told me. Since then i've been watching the price and reading the comments on this site. She told me this back end of January.

Terminated - it was a middle eastern sounding name of the person she said he had lined up to invest. Ive fallen into the trap of saying asian.

I was just asking as im curious if this type of activity ever takes place as surely it cant be legal?

It is 'ryans'' first ever post and I doubt it is true.

Well there's been no recent director buying ryan except way above the current price so that doesn't add up. They could well have found an investor though, although I woukd have thought the middle east were more likely. Although we are in the age where Arabs are described as of Asian decent, although this is more common after an affest.

Interesting, in the US Amazon are going to buy many of the Toys R Us stores thereby becoming a bricks and mortar company.

dealy - Landlords are very greedy people and do not think the way one would think.

Landlords would be very stupid to wind them up over rent. Clear case of stakeholder support

Its not "profit" that pays leases its cash.
And if their accountant had a sales forecast that was going to generate the cash - but the actual sales did not happen then ....

The profit will be between 1 and 5 million I would have hoped that the accountant also took the leases into account.

They've paid the leases before. Shouldn't be a surprise

Funny fenners. But if this company has no chance with minimal debt then the whole economy including property is doomed

Because of what is happening in the retail sector, it's going to have a knock of effect with the REIT's and Property companies as they'll be getting less rent.

Typical Hammerson, their take over is being done right at the top of the market.

All this is typical of late market cycle action, showing we're near the end of the Bull market.
