Think it's more than a whisper - the bid talks are officially over. But this is good news beacuse if DLJ were prepared to pay 315p a share then they must reckon that with a little tinkering they could quickly turn Morgan Crucible into soomething worth 400p a share so they could make their RTO.

Morgan Crucible's management rejected the 315p offer so they are obviously confident that the company is worth significantly more than 315p too.

So both DLJ and MGCR see to agree that the share price is going to go a long long way north from where it is now at 260p. BUY!

There was obviously not enough in it for the director packages.
Considering the recovery that already took place in the shares
a responsible conclusion to long term holders would have been
a disposal. After the dust has settled there is no reason why the shares should not continue their recovery.

a my exe broker that keeps in regular contact told me that the market wispers are there is a confirmed bid at 315p but a romour that other companies are proposing to also make a bid. these companies are venture capitalists. they tend to copy one another, they may of also seen the potential in morgan. my guess is the management were about to annouce a confirmed agreed bid but then had to look at their options as other parties may of shown an interest. its a similar situation with say tata steel and curus, tatal steel making a bid for curus and other competitors worried about the dominant power that would bring also think of making a bid. i think there maybe strength to the roumours based on the high interest last thursday and friday in morgan, there were high chunky buys, my assumption is these high buyers know something the general public don't and thats why they have been buying up the stock but same time avoid pushing the price up whilst building up large stakes. morgan is a very difficult stock to sell as the volume is often low, large chunky buyers in my opinion would only buy chunks if they are confident a bid will occur as they would not be able to get out at a reasonable price if a bid did not occur.

hi shem, hat happen was that this stock requires 10% margin which is massive... if from 282 (which it went to the other day) it went lower to say 276 they would have closed my position, so i had to sell some....

Remeber that this stock is only up because of bid spec... it could fall to very low levels if the media cain it....

I think the bid will be this week, the independant online reckon its within the next 3 days..... I have put buy orders exactly where I sold hoping to bring my stake back up... it will be a volitile few days...expect a storm along the way...

I saw my friend in the fish and chip shop, he was eating a savaloy and chicken and mushroom pie, he told me his margin call was so big he skidded his pants.

i'm sorry HOT-PRPERTY that u have been selling out, it's a good strategy to overcome losss situations, this stock has been manipulated by mm and it's hard to work out what the charts are saying. the stock is up as to a romour in the press like the times that there is a takeout price of 315p. some serious money was comming into this stock yesterday taking advantge of people on margin calls. that means they did not bid the stock up when the fste was roaring, rather when ever a seller came in they bought at between 282p-285p mark but the buyers refused to pay more so the price slid back down to their level. I was also thinking of selling as i have had margin calls. I was thinking that a good price to sell would be 286p but it never got to my level, i did not want to take a major loss. as the price has sharply risen my margin calls have de-activated and i have options to hold on rather than be a distressed sellers. some that made some losses may of paniced today and bought back at higher prices. i think u should avoid emotions and operate with a clearer head, that's hard when the stress off losses is so huge and not sleep all night.

from the trade sizes you can see that individuals are day trading this stock and taking advantage of the large spread. this stock regarless of crudentials can goto 270/60 easily. people that are in the stock for the last week or so are not serious they buy and sell on the same day .. also the break thier positions and sell repeatedly throughout the day smashing the bid, without quick news this stock is finished... I know a handful of stocks that are trading below market value, if the media comes out on this one its bye bye MGCR... tight days before a break out are good but this mean lots of people can buy it also at the lower levels and selling at higher levels will be mayhem, I have been sliming my position down lost a couple of 1000's if I break even I migt be ok but thats at 292 and it seems a long way away iam afriad

i hope the information in regards to the bid comes soon, it's been press speculated that the traget price is 315p and its a venture capitalist company so there are no hurdles such as regulation approval, the stock is weak as investors are getting tired of waiting for news and bit scared seeing stocks like misys take a dive. i think the situation here is different as morgan fundametally is a sound company, it has low debt and rising margins, misys on the other hand has falling sales and is in a market that has declining margins.

Dow is up alot at the moment and not factored into FTSE lets see where dow closes.

MGCR has a mixed chart, the candle today was another DOJI on a close line price chart there is a double bottom, and a classic double bottom with higher volume on the first bounce than the second.... the candle formed still interact from the big upday candle, we are ok as oof yet as it did not violate 277,

there were big seller in the auction, market maker loves the shafting he maybe into pvc me thinks....

Thursday could be the day

why are we waiting, about time morgan directors tell us what is going on, is there a bid or not? there was some heavy chunk buyers today and as the price fell the volume was very light, this means the people that bought the stock up on friday have not quite left the building. my gut feeling is the news will break soon this week, but thats wishful thinking.

I am now running some advanced calculations to determine bid ask movements of a stock, basically identification of underlying trends, my system will cain normal technical analysis stuff...

MGCR on Monday is a 50/50 day I wonder what it will do... test 290 then go up? or continue from here or fall.... I reckon we could see £3 ... good oppurtunity to sell....

the shafting that happened a few days ago made a massive DOJI with a 'big real body'. Since the 'real body' was not bigger than the lower shadow-tail it can be classed as a DOJI. Anyone trading this stock should place a stop below the Doji tail and offsett it a further 1-2p for 'fluff'.

I hope I make some money out of this I need to buy some underwear for my wife, at the moment we share...

My mate feels real good at the moment. He says he does not need the coffin anymore and instead brought a copy of mayfair to support his daily needs

MGCR recovered well after shafting from MM.
Trading Levels back to normal levels as was on the 26th of Sep (TUES) indicates a strong progress to the so called 315p level and news may follow shortly in due course.

There was huge volumes of buyers today, and also sellers. My theory on the sellers is that this was simply profit taking.

hahahahh I laughed so much at your post Shem, its so true what you say, yes £3 there maybe some resistance, maybe an area to look at getting out / selling half position and seeing if it can make it higher later on over the next week or so........

My mate who had the underrtaker came to collect him suddenly smashed through his coffin when he found the price was 294 today, he said his name is 2Pac and everytime he phones the broker he talks to them in heavy rap language...

my mate called saying he is so happy he just had a wan* at tesco's carpark. u can see the market makers pushing the stocks up, i think it gapped up and huge volume. they know news is about to break and it's going to be positive bid news, the papers will be talking this stock up today, they sniff the market makers's backsides and when the m-maker farts they breath in. sometimes u can trust the pappers, the best judge is the charts. today is a technical break out and i have a buy signal. i think 300p will be tested and when breached that the next buy signal, but for me it's too risky, maybe leave some profit to the next man.

everytime I trade I play this bhangra track in the background called "De De Geraa" really loud and then I phone my broker at the same time, I said to him I wanna buy 'xyz' stock and after the transaction I ask if he likes bhangra.... works everytime, you get the bid instead of paying the offer price as he gets distracted!!

hahhaahhaha ahhahahahahaha hahahahahaah ahhahaahah I laughed so much today I nearly jumped out of the window! hahahahahahahaahahah

The closure level was good today stable and sideway movement, no action, typical senario after a shafting.... sidway movements can be examined and anticipated calls can be made of a break up or down.... tomorrow will be a testing time to see what happens, a calculation can tell you to buy of sell the stock....

If you look at the chart the low of yesterday made an even pattern on the candle lows which was fine, also look with a close line price chart to filter noise looks good...

Ideally the best thing to do is soon as I break even I will set a stop at that level, then buy huge chucks at higher levels (a trailing effect) then I will buy a kebab on the way home and do a bhangra move outside stringfellows...
