massive massive company doc, chinas biggest gold producer i think. Projects world wide. Sorry for no links, but i did read about Zijin over the weekend. Also, the company name for the RIO blanco project is "minera majaz" but couldnt find any NEW material that would explain the ongoing drop on them either. Still, someone wants out, or its being made to look that way.

Would be interesting to know how many projects Zijin has - and how many it can develop??

been chucking a fair few ideas around in my head also, but in current climate a forced seller looks a pretty sensible possibility. Although the drip feeding into the market is concerning, it seems the seller isn't that worried about getting the best price for their holding.

I have wondered whether the Chinese have deliberately sold a few to push it down and thus get a better price for buying up remaining shares to take it private??

Exactly, the delay although frustrating for some, could and should actually produce more copper, in a shorter time frame with less damage to theindigineous people and their enviroment.. Doc- agree re forced seller, the MM's taking them to the cleaners.. Once they stop, we should be good for a nice ride back up to fair levels.

Maybe the market is too cynical currently, regarding that as spin. Fair point about buyout potential if the market under-rates management's sense of intrinsic value.

The stock market's a funny place. Just at the moment, everyone's nervous so any delay is seen as a disaster. Actually the delay is to re-evaluate the project so as to (eventually) have a higher production rate and a better utilisation of the resource. This ought to be good news.

Moreso because remaining shareholders are largely irrelevant now! Anyone know how much it costs to remain public? ie. whats the likelihood that they'll buy out remaining holders to take it private?
