31/3/2008 09:47 | OK. All told though, it probably explains why the market is treating MNA as a pickle! Interesting to keep following although I have never bought. | edmondj
31/3/2008 09:45 | Forced seller(s)? Edmund, they gave the reasons in advance of the drop. The 'no commercial reason' meant no further/unannounced reasons. Additionally, do you think the scale of the drop is justified by the slight delay? No, of course not. Therefore they know now commercial reason for that. Give them a call perhaps? | the_doctor
31/3/2008 09:42 | Surely the management should know what is going on. There does now appear to be a reason for the slump; are they going to clarify the situation for (potential) investors? | edmondj
31/3/2008 09:39 | Bedside manner, doctor! le P | parieur
31/3/2008 09:36 | Or its you with the egg Edmund?? That news was out before! | the_doctor
31/3/2008 09:28 | They will shake some out & then it will turn, its if you wanna hold thru the drop or bail out n move on.... I will hold here, happy to see my VOG holdings doing nicely today to balance out this drop and some... Be lucky to all | chesty1
31/3/2008 09:28 | On 25th march MNA knew of no reason for the fall were they telling the truth?? | susiebe
31/3/2008 09:27 | £1.15 support broken... 80p next support... Can't believe this is falling so hard.... Wasn't able to find anything further out over the weekend to explain the fall, other than the delay, and a placing coming up for Zijin, although i dnt see how that would effect MNA. | davros006
31/3/2008 09:07 | I will also add below £1 if she gets there. | chesty1
31/3/2008 09:01 | Although at the end of the day, the Peruvian govt needs the cash and what the locals want isnt so high profile. Would be interesting to know more about these subtleties, but I'm out of touch with the project | the_doctor
31/3/2008 08:58 | Well that didnt last long, bought for old times sake Friday, sold this morning at 10% loss.......the article I found on the Peru news I fear does not bode well for these in the short term. May get back aboard below 100p, but me thinks I may not have long to wait.....good luck to you all that have bigger balls than myself!! | aspers
31/3/2008 08:49 | £1.14p against £1.12p... They wanna play ball but does any1 wanna play with em. Be lucky to all | chesty1
31/3/2008 07:40 | Morning all Very quiet on here, lets see which way they plau it from here. A lot will be scared out from adding "falling knife" n all that but thats where the profits are to be made (and lost). I am in for enough here for now until we see some decent blue. be lucky to all & long from £1.20p DOH..! | chesty1
31/3/2008 06:34 | While tempted, I think that the original MNA management sensed that the Peruvians would cause big problems and thats why they let the Chinese get it so cheap?? | the_doctor
30/3/2008 15:28 | Yes chesty thanks, suckin diesel, as they say.... :o) Agreed RE- the news, it doesn't tell the whole story at all. I would of fainted at prices like this in 2006, maybe why i am finding it difficult to buy now... Long term it SHOULD be a no-brainer at these levels.... but i can't help thinking i may get in cheaper... (i always think that though) lol. | davros006
30/3/2008 13:26 | Cheers Dadair for the email & hope your well.... The news above doesn't mean a drop like this I feel its oversold & will bounce when she is ready & when she does I will be holding. Be lucky to all & enjoy your sunday, bring on the fun n games tomorrow. | chesty1
30/3/2008 11:56 | Met, they did on the RNS on 12/3/08. "Company engineers, aided by specialist consultants that were involved in the original DFS, are defining the parameters for the trade off study. This study is designed to evaluate alternative development options which will maximize economic returns, as well as improving environmental and social aspects of the Rio Blanco Project. The Project is one of the most significant undeveloped copper/molybdenum resources in the world." "It is anticipated that the new study will be completed in the second half of 2008, when a revised timetable for the Project will be announced. Following the results of the study the appropriate changes will be made to the DFS. " | davros006
29/3/2008 13:40 | Good find aspers - clearly related events and Montericco should have announced it. That said, towns voting against mining projects has become par for the course as a means of negotiating appropriate settlements and investments in local service and infrastructure. Looks like the news is factored into the price at these levels. | metalera
29/3/2008 07:44 | The above report was produced on 10th march, a few days before the stock tanked!!!!! | aspers
28/3/2008 22:04 | Interesting week ahead next week me thinks!!.....better to be in than out, ......mind you have said that before regading MNA, that last rumour only came half true, wonder what this one will bring??? | aspers
28/3/2008 18:50 | well the first reason is the 66% drop without a valid reason leads me to believe as in similar cases someone else probably knows something and it probably isn't good... i always set a stop loss in my mind just in case and in this case i could have held but if it didn't move up today something is up in the short term, plus i can still get in probably next week so i feel in the stronger position at the moment so i'm not necessarily out of the equation but just for the moment until i see some answers. perhaps dead loss was the wrong word to use!... | gambler99
28/3/2008 17:50 | What makes you say its a dead loss gambler? Chesty- you have mail. Regards dadair | davros006
28/3/2008 16:28 | looks like a dead loss. lets hope there's some news this weekend. i sold out at 118p as i was half expecting it to go back down again. i will perhaps consider getting back in if i hear more information!.. as it looks like something nasty is on it way! | gambler99 |
