14/11/2002 22:46 | Sales are currently running well ahead of last year (several 10s of %). | miavoce
31/7/2002 11:36 | One problem I have with this share is that there seldom seems to be an obvious correlation between news and price moves. I suspect price moves are more related to market maker shortage or oversupply of stock than anything else. | msjhaffey
31/7/2002 10:09 | Looks like I was one day too early. Moving nicely now. | goliard
30/7/2002 22:35 | Similarly JJB, forward PER of 6, mild profit warning.. last time they were on a rating this low they'd just announced decreasing LFL of about 30%, this time they said it was about level and they've gone down shed loads in the panic and haven't recovered much yet. Don't own any but am seriously tempted. | gdjs100
29/7/2002 13:09 | The results were good, but the disappointingly they haven't raised the dividend by much at all. Just look at the cash mountain they have on their books, the ratio of cash/creditors has grown a fair bit over the year! Additionally, the UK retail sector is now coming off the boil, so any growth this coming year may be slow. | factsonly
29/7/2002 11:49 | The other 50 000 sell has just come up as a late trade. So thats some explanation. msjhaffey if you like this sort of company then have a look at pizzaexpress. Similar position except that it got heavily marked down after a very small profit warning. I bought at 400p and am hoping for something with the results out soon. | goliard
29/7/2002 11:29 | I'm amazed this hasnt moved. I'm in and staying in. Forward pe of 6.5 a 5% yield strong growth and no real debt, this is the sort of company that you pray to find. I think there was a fairly bif sell on this am which has caused the move down but again there is no real market. I'll tuck these away for a while and see what happens as there really cant be much downside here and a 5% yield is guaranteed in September. | goliard
29/7/2002 10:26 | 2p is a big move??? Well, anyway, I bought on Friday. I think that at present prices MSN is good value, but we'll have to see if the market agrees ... if I make or lose more than 20%, I'm selling | msjhaffey
26/7/2002 10:11 | Quiet today but a guaranteed big move on Monday... but which way... we will see. | goliard
25/7/2002 16:56 | Seems a reasonable prospect over medium term as decent earnings growth expected. Poor Summer weather apparently may dampen outlook according to PP on TMF. So we shall see. csh | csh
25/7/2002 15:42 | Also forgot to say that the Chairman bought all the shares belonging to the outgoing MD when he retired (about £500 000 worth). At least the Chairman is happy! | goliard
25/7/2002 15:38 | Monsoon are to announce results on July 29th. Their previous announcements indicate £30 million + pretax and a 4% yield with a forward pe of about 7. | goliard
15/7/2002 00:06 | I don't see 80p... | gdjs100
11/7/2002 21:42 | Oh Dear! Me hope everyone followed Me example and sold out in time. Don't worry Championismo and gdjs100 - everyone gets it wrong sometimes. | this_is_me
06/7/2002 11:31 | Snap, no problems here Martini and my whole company uses it for internal communications between our offices. But more to do with bandwidth adn reliable ISP than anything else I reckon. | taimur
06/7/2002 10:41 | I have had no problems using AOL and latest MSN with xp on a top endish PC. | martini
06/7/2002 08:54 | Yes, it's been fairly iffy of late. Also seems to crash my system if I use my scanner while msn is running! This started happening after the last update. So I don't run it often... | fredd
04/7/2002 21:22 | Has anyone got problems with their MSN | the bearer
04/7/2002 21:22 | my msn has problems with signing in.Does anyone have similar? | the bearer
07/6/2002 19:07 | I agree with you. Not much has changed with MSN recently only that expectations went a bit too high recently and market conditions have turned. Reality is also biting in, MSN may announce profit increases, but they aren't exactly spectacular. The worrying thing is that they didn't even mention the dividend during that update, if they peg it again, then I wouldn't be surprised if the price continues dropping. It's not worth betting against a market unless you think conditions are going to improve your way. Conditions appear to be getting worse. | factsonly
07/6/2002 14:59 | Me thinks that it is a good company, but the rest of the market doesn't agree at the minute. | this_is_me
07/6/2002 14:32 | 120p maybe, they'll never make 80p without a profit warning. You've changed from the biggest bull on this stock to the biggest bear. Very telling! | gdjs100
07/6/2002 10:22 | gdjs100 Me hope that you have already sold out and that you operate a sensible stop loss system - bid now 120p | this_is_me
06/6/2002 22:33 | 80p? You what?! A 50% decline from here?? Major resistance at 100p, but it'll never get that low with all the recent excellent trading updates and a forward PE of under 10. | gdjs100 |
