13/9/2001 00:29 | Soory This.. Bit of a late reply I suppose. I just picked up a few more MSN when they tanked today. But I am still disappointed at the length of time overseas expansion has taken. I don't deny the risks involved, but there are success stories also. Furthermore, MSN admitted that it's prime SE UK market is saturated. Most of all the wife would like to see them in Singapore sooner rather than later!! | idioterna
22/8/2001 09:45 | Idioterna What are your views? | this_is_me
21/8/2001 16:29 | This has been in the get rich slowly part of my portfolio since it was last 58p and it will remain there. The overseas strategy is to risk other peoples' money in return for a lower share of the profits. This greatly limits the risk of the disasters that other UK firms have had expanding abroad, particularly in USA. | this_is_me
21/8/2001 09:24 | MSN seems to have waited too long for its overseas expansion. My wife used to love shopping in Monsoon in the UK, unfortunately they were not an option in Europe or down here in Singapore. Instead their product line and "name" has been cleverly adapted by - British India. British India is very successfull as is Mango, I think Monsoon would have been much better off to exploit these markets than ponce around with internet. I've been a shareholder for a little over a year, but I'm not all that impressed with either the share performance or the promises of overseas expansion. Has anyone got any concrete dates and places? | idioterna
04/8/2001 17:59 | Me too...I'm IN...great stock going places upside...upside! | nald
30/7/2001 07:41 | Monsoon certainly seem to have the right marketing strategy. great stores, good price position, low risk global expansion, new Angel range. This could certainly be a long term star performer. I'm in! | quickwin
29/7/2001 17:20 | I agree with buoycat! I cant keep my girlfriend out of the place. Accessorize has a great range, reasonable prices, excellent store design and the tills are always ringing!! Dont take my word for it, see for yourself! | kb1066

23/7/2001 20:12 | RHPS also tipped this one. It is suggested that the shares will double (from 85). Continually increasing profits/eps. Low P/E for sector (67% of average). They are looking at exporting their products to the States & the far-east. They've already done a deal with Charming Shoppes Inc of Philadelphia to roll out Monsoon & Accessaries brands out to the US. Greatbear | greatbear
20/7/2001 00:18 | WELL EVERYONE PREDICTING A GREAT SET OF NEWS 4 MONSOON. SO I THINK GET ON. | blackday
20/7/2001 00:04 | I recently shopped at Monsoon for my wife's birthday. I was impressed by the range and quality of the clothes which whilst not cheap were very reasonably priced. The staff were excellent too. It's never easy choosing clothes for the wife but they were really helpful. I've often left shops in confusion without buying anything but they made sure I left after spending loads of dosh. I was so impressed I bought some more shares! | buoycat |
