Yes, agree.

From what I have been able to see, there just haven't been many buys, just a constant drip selling near the bid of 190, with a 190-195 wide spread maintained for weeks. Sooner or later the MMs will be saturated and have enough of supporting the price. Buying will likely require some news first, good of course.

Not bothered me till today but a 20p fall here is quite big.
Going to try and buy a few Monday.

No volume but someone has marked them down.

on a p/e of 10 they are not expensive. Are we all missing something?

This did happen in April a 12/15% fall that I used to top up.

Just don't know guys but I am sitting tight.

I don't believe there's any news yet from the U.S. The October IMS was fine (2013 performance per guidance)and the share price didn't move for about 7 weeks. Results are out at the end of February I believe.

Ok, getting worried now. Maybe a news leak about the FDA thing? Tiger, what do you think?

Does anyone know what is the latest situation regarding the FDA announcement regarding testing requirements?

I thought it was expected by the end of this year, however we are getting very close to that point.

Particularly wide spread today by MMs: 192-197. That's after a bit of life came back. An LSEr sat in between. Suggested to me that MMs were not keen on buyers today. Why? Surely not already tipped again in IC?

Reminds me of the Wild West in 2000, with The Daily Mirror's dodgy tipping and insider advanced buying. Remember too " Show me the money" show? It was madness and share fever!

Let's see what the US news will be.

Anyone heard any news about the changes in US regulations - particularly about implementation dates or postponements? I've just signed up for email updates from the FDA for news relating to tobacco, and will post anything relevant to MLIN as I receive it.

I expect momentum to increase towards December in relation to the anticipated change in US regulations which are expected by the FDA and the testing of product quality and smoke.

Buy recommendation in the IC. Columnist has a target price of £2.20. States a broker at £2.60.

Nice one. If sales drop in the U.S., more reason to outsource and save costs.

Smoking in Japan has fallen dramatically with four major brands closing factories and looking to overseas markets to improve sales. I understand that New York's mayor Bloomberg is backing a proposal to ban the sales of cigarettes to under 21's.

Because it's illiquid and I want to buy more,I'm loathe to mention it here (not that my say bears much weight of course). If / when it retraces to my buy level (and I've topped up) I'll stick it up here (since it may be of interest to others also, due to those similarities.

(apologies if off topic to all)

260p target in the ED note.

Says the shares offer "an attractive mix of predictable earnings, an inflation beating dividend yield and future growth. What's more the stock trades on a FY
13 P/E ratio of 8.5, which is less than half the sector average of c 19x"

Tipped by Simon Thompson in IC and for some reason it doesn't show yet at his homepage as the main article so anyone who hurries will get in before the crowd.

His target is 220.

Agree.

Maybe not a bad thing however. In fact it reminds me of another British manufacturer whose chairman (whom I admire greatly) doesn't do flowery and thus the TS are often a bit concise. Like MLIN that company is a tad illiquid yet a lot under-apreciated and thus makes a good investment.

Not sure the reason for the volume. The 250k NT could be a broker to broker.

Little spate of buying first thing.Maybe a tip before the IMS which should happen this week.
