Morning Gerard. The note says that the covid detection product is "developed" and yet everything else so far has said that it is still under development?

Long suffering and badly diluted investors hoping for a nice in depth update with YE results from new management...

@gjbrandon - Indeed, one step at a time in a currently very focused world. I would say take the weekend off, but....

@gjbrandon- I must reiterate what gbenson1 said, that it is very refreshing to have a Chairman who communicates well with shareholders. Thank you.

Thanks also for the clarification regarding newsflow, that nothing would currently prevent any new developments/products/sales being announced as soon as ink is dry.

You have brought a new impetus to a side of the company that appears to have been left to stagnate perplexingly since its acquisition (and has sadly remained loss making for years too). What ever happened to the original rationale in the first place is a bit of a mystery. It must of got lost in amongst the constant reinvention of the membrane tech in order to try and monetise it, alongside the original slosh of funds from the IPO.

As for the membrane side, what to do? The number of different applications and partnerships that have been attempted over the years is crazy, Omzest, Stonybook, Poseidon, WRc, cooling towers, Al Khuluf, retro-fitting BOOT projects, South Africa, Gibraltar (is the original desalination plant still operating there?)patents all over the world, etc etc etc. If you can succeed on that side too....

Hi can the warrants that were issued with the recent placing be forward sold or do tp have to exercise and sell?

How refreshing for gjbrandon to comment on his own companies bb, not used to this sort of openness in MWG.

@Lukehold - thank you :-)

@Gjbrandon - Thank you for that Gerard, the layers of rules keep getting more fun!

My main reason for asking was for trying to gauge possible news flow, which I believe is restricted during the closed period (please correct me if I am wrong). I can imagine the accountancy crew will be earning their salt for this set of results, re-basing the figures and separating the MWSL will certainly keep them occupied during lockdown!

Where was that conversation from @Lukehold? Gerard certainly isn't adverse to talking to investors on twitter and here which is much better than usual.
On another note, does anyone know if the company has entered into the closed period prior to results yet? Last year results were put out now, the year before later. They have been preceded by an RNS giving the results announcement date but nothing yet and nowt on financial calendar bar dodgy spelling ;-)

Informative post from GB I though might be useful for others @Lukehold the science of wastewater based epidemiology has been around for decades. Most wastewater treatment plants test the effluent (outflow) and many in the developed world are looking to find easy solutions to test in the influent (inflow). Many law-enforcing agencies in US and EU have used this to identify illicit drug use from traces found in wastewater. In the case of SARS-CoV-2 this is becoming more important as a means of tracking likely hotspots. The problem with all testing is that it requires going back to the laboratory with samples. So time is critical.Modern Water (MWG) have thousands of Microtox installations around the world and it has been the gold standard test for over 30 years to test for water contamination. MWG could detect 2,700 contaminants, but not identify each one in real-time. Integumen seen a reduction from 24-72 hours to 4 seconds for E. Coli bacteria, so is working to install our AI system in Microtox units to identify in real-time. We expect to roll these out this year. We expect investors to realise the potential of this in due course

It's been a long and painful process and although the tech has always been great and that's ultimately the foundation with new blood and more commercial heads they're looking like they'll finally start to make headway from a financial point of view and not need to go round with the begging bowl to keep the lights on. Hopefully the company provides further updates on sales/pipeline when FY19 results are published. We want to be looking ahead not just the 2019 results - more meat on what's been happening this year and how H1 and beyond is looking. It would prove that the turnaround has got some real impetus to confirm they expect to be cash flow BE in H2 and I'm sure share buying volume will pick up and even investors from way back when who probably sold at a large loss or still hold would look to buy back in and or lower their average. They may be disgruntled but will know about the tech. The market potential is massive and MWG has the tech and hopefully now a more balanced BoD and plan to properly exploit the opportunity.

"MWG is probably looking better than it ever has gone re generating cash."

Undoubtedly. I agree with that Tickboo.

Exactly, costs will be significantly down and with sales and production now increasing with no up front costs for MWG (SKIN will take production costs before share) and with cash in the bank they should be fine and one would imagine demand will continue to rise and they can also sell AI to existing clients.Surely MWG will finally have a sustainable business model and start the journey to creating shareholder value (easier for newer holders but a way to go for LTHs).

Don't know if they can split it, probably have to execute the warrant for the full 92m in one go. However I think the finance/cash burn is less of an issue now they've amputated the financial black hole that was MWSL.
The results from April 2019 indicate 39 employees, the liquidation documentation from MWSL shows 17 redundancies which is a sizeable reduction in overheads along with Bramley house and a chunk of debts etc.
The company is basically now focused on the monitoring division and selling the IP from the membrane side.

Yeah with the warrants, cash from the raise and fulfilling backdated orders as well as an increase in orders of the sales continue and with reduced costs they could get to cash flow BE and then positive. Given the increae in orders in Q1 I can only imagine that trend is continuing and remember SKiN is ranking up production which it's paying for so MWG is probably looking better than it ever has gone re generating cash. They also have the AI to bolt on and that's low hanging fruit to existing clients.30 March- Two months of stock have been shipped in the last two weeks amid growing demand, believed to be connected to the global COVID 19 public health crisis, from existing customers across Spain, Italy and China. Production by Integumen plc, of Modern Water's monitoring bacteria reagent has begun at the University of York, UK, 6 weeks ahead of the originally planned production date.

So in theory we could find they have forward sold say 25m shares and then announce 25m options exercised and company have received £125k.

Slice, nothing is mentioned on the RNS about lock-in periods etc so in theory TP are free to buy and sell on when they like anytime in the next 3 years.
