With a market cap of only £10m and a profitable stand-alone monitoring division,mwg is very vulnerable to someone taking a punt from within the sector.

Agree gb, likely small-scale installation but could be the breakthrough we keep hoping for. The promised offering to customers of economic benefits will either be proved beyond doubt or sink without trace. In the former case, and always provided the Chinese respect our patents, then I see rapid and widespread deployment and will be ordering my new yacht (or more likely new bike). In the latter case... oblivion.

Yes pity i have had to sell over half of my position over the last few months due to lack of news. If the stock has been shorted hopefully they will suffer as i have over the last few months!!

Whilst any news is welcomed, I don't believe this installation is on any great scale if it's going to be completed and commissioned by year end, also it's working through a 3rd party Sunup. We'll see how the market reacts?

I suppose “widely marketed” means “Widely publicised” rather than its more usual meaning of “sold”. And the new enquiries and increasing market interest are phrases straight from the “Give nothing away” directors rule book. Not impressed.

Commenting on the results, Alan Wilson, Chairman of Modern Water, said:
"I am pleased to report that Modern Water's strategy is continuing to build momentum, with Group revenue increasing 37% in the first-half of 2017, delivering a 15% improvement in Gross Profits.  It is also pleasing to note that the recent successful fund raise achieved the Board's objectives and we are now able to make further investment in our growth and accelerate our work in developing new products, which are already taking shape in the USA.
 
The impressive performance of our All Membrane Brine Concentrator (AMBC) in the cleaning of process waste-water for an Indian-based textiles company was widely marketed and has encouragingly resulted in new enquiries from companies in a range of countries and industrial sectors.  We are also beginning to see increasing market interest in our other membrane technologies, with sales of licences and products in China, India and Oman."

The market is expecting a new contract to be awarded in Gibraltar....that will add a bit of sparkle to the share price imo.

Really a 5% rise in such a small cap illiquid stock is hardly remarkable, unless accompanied by some good news. I won’t be adding to my small holding until they make traction in more parts of the world, very disappointing progress thus far imo.
