Thanks Deacon, that’s a poor 'target' for MTR 2.2 when Sprott took place in a fundraise at 3.0.

Very good looking FS result. Very positive comments regarding partnering/JV in order to take T3 into production too. Very comfortable buy and hold from here.

Yep solid update Deacon, and I noticed they are using slightly different metrics which should strengthen the BFS. So they'll complete it by end March but we won't get it til next week. All good.

KAV

Michael Foster, Chief Executive Officer of Kavango Resources, commented:

"We are extremely encouraged that the first hole encountered a 70 metre zone containing significant sulphide alteration together with indicative cobalt values of up to 0.9% and a weighted average of 0.2% cobalt as well as elevated copper, zinc, lead and nickel values*. The indicative metal values need to be confirmed by laboratory analysis but are suggestive of mineralisation at depth.

In the meantime, a second hole is now in progress and sited on a second conductive body (supported by surface soil geochemistry) situated 1.8km east of the first hole, within the Ditau intrusion. This hole is already advancing to plan and is benefitting from the new water well. We will continue to announce further drilling results from Ditau in a timely fashion."

Further information in respect of the Company and its business interests is provided on the Company's website at www.kavangoresources.com and on Twitter at #KAV.

Skiboy, thanks for the updates. I, like most, are patiantly waiting for drill results. The spread remains high which is keeping the day trading heard away but that will likely change if the get some exceptional core samples

Hi jone06 - hopefully not too long to wait. Michael Foster said in a recent interview he was expecting results by month end. So maybe we'll see something before the end of next week.

Pre drill resource stocks are always a punt. KAV are well funded for the year and with geophysics advancement since Tony Robinson's time team as they are then drill bit location becomes more accurate.

SOLG demonstrated this in Ecuador to great effect. A similar performance here would be very nice indeed.

Should be an RNS in the morning.

And on track for resource upgrade and Feasibility study by end March so not long to wait. Looking good and on top of the Wood Mackenzie Report on copper outlook in January which anticipates +20% increase in cu price.

paleje Agreed. All quiet on the posting front and on any potential revised offer but news coming soon and lots of upside here. Patience required for just a little longer.

SP +6% overnight on asx, copper price getting the Aussies all excited:) but on a serious note it will help the funding deal and we'll sync with it eventually just as we did going down but this time the other way.

Perfect timing for those ready for project funding and/or jv's/takeovers. This would be just the start of what is forecast to be a long term uptrend in demand set against supply shortages. Best not to take opportunistic early offers.

I imagine mod won’t be interested unless they see something north of $1 per share at least...

By contrast, the development funds that bid for discovery when it had the land and that producing mine, bid around us$850 million for discovery which was rejected. Back in 2k12, copper price was around the $3.50 mark.

Mod are now in a similar position, albeit earlier on in the development cycle for t3,

But t3 estimated to be bigger than discovery’s producing mine at that time, on a tiny patch of the exploration land.

Hypothetically, if those funds made a similarly priced bid for mod, with around 297 million shares in issue, would equate to around $2.85 us per mod share, or $3.30ish Aussie dollar per mod share.

Main differences between mod now, and discovery back in 2k12, is that discovery had their producing mine which was eventually bought I think only for around $35 million...., and the copper price is lower now than in 2k12.

Of course the bigger picture here is that we’re likely on the cusp of a perfect storm with diminishing copper supplies, diminishing commercial grades of recoverable copper at existing mines, very few new mines coming on stream in the next few years, and very few large scale discoveries of new copper resource, combined with a forecast increase in demand over the long term for copper, globally. I think mod and mod shareholders will hold out for a much higher bid than sandfire’s...

Just shows how small sandfire’s bid really is.

Given mr m is now on board with mod, it wouldn’t surprise me at all to see mod make a bid for Kalahari Metals. They are much much earlier on in the resource development cycle, with a vast tract of land near mod’s. That would make mod an even more value proposition...

Be interesting to see if mod does make a move for kalahari....

L.

Opportunity here. Are buyers now eligible for the open offer? Current share price around placing price. Plenty of interest in what MOD are doing

We're synced with oz again now, no comfort to those who bought higher I know. But the chances are Sandfire may raise their offer to nearer 50c which would equate to ~29p, still too cheap imo, and there could be other interested parties with different deals.

Point is, MOD is in the spotlight now and despite the poor market sentiment majors and mid caps need more resource and they think long term not like us.

Drill drill drill now there's cash in the bank, no need to bite anyone's hand off.

Funny you claim not to chase spikes. It seems the only time you turn up on a thread is when they are biggest % riser

Merger approach for MOD and a fund raise rumoured at 30c, should liven things up.
