Well, below 10p would have been a far better entry - but not displeased with a buy at 16p :)

Welcome aboard KS … looks like you judged your timing well.

Yes, I very much agree with you as to how cheap the company is given the growth rate and sector.

Hello all,

I have joined the 'party' here this morning after looking in for a while (thanks to Mattjos for the recommendation).

Hard to ignore the rapid and impressive revenue, profit, and cash flow growth here - balance sheet and fundamentals look very strong - and in what appears to be a rapidly growing market/sector.

This company appears very cheap based on just latest interim results, let alone accounting for the rate of growth demonstrated to date.

Cheers

Very useful article, link below. One graph caught my attention. No doubt that figure higher now but, plenty of growth potential in the years ahead and the social affects of the Covid pandemic will have helped accelerate that growth rate (as MBO's figures & commentary testify). Seem incredible to me that India is ahead of Malaysia:

"Borneo Oil said it intends to collaborate with MobilityOne, an e-wallet service provider, to launch an e-wallet (cashless payment) at the group’s SugarBun outlets. It said the collaboration will enable the group to leverage on MobilityOne’s e-commerce merchant network."

We'll have to see how many shares there are still out there that were purchased on the 'spike' last year & which holders decide to sell but, I really don't think there are many left & holders might well decide that they are better keeping hold as the stock choice was correct, only their timing was wrong.

We're pushing on higher again today into blue sky territory, afaic, for all the reasons I've outlined.
Not a time to be selling, imo.

That's good if someone can cover it rather than having to close it

this was 'Closing Only' long time before IG decided to withdraw s/bets on many AIM shares & then it was placed on the list of shares they will no longer cover so, I suspect you are correct jb … a switch from s/b to physical shares before the 29th cut-off date

More likely a move from stocks to s/b or vice versa. £30 is the usual MM cut for such a move

Just seen on Aquis exchange what looks like 2 huge sales of 500k each after 4pm on Friday

Priced at 15.00 and 15.006 it could be someone moving their own stock from 1 wrapper to another, either to realise a gain/loss before tax year end, or to prepare for one.

14 year Weekly High & New Daily All Time Closing High today in MBO.
A noteworthy event in any listed entity & one which I believe investors should pay close attention to ….. & still only a £17m Mkt Cap for a Fin Tech company with Annual Revs circa £200m

Some may argue it's expensive on some metrics but, I suggest otherwise & still believe it is ridiculously cheap given the growth potential this year & forward.

If H2 2020 grew at the same rate as H1 2020 did then FY 2020 could see:

Revs: £257m
Op. Profit: £3.5m
Cash Generated from Operating Activities: £1.8m
Fully Diluted EPS: 1.5p

& that growth likely continued into H1 2021, given the initiatives / partnerships that came on-line before end calendar 2020.

So at current price of 16p that would just be a pitiful trailing 10.6x EPS …. as i said, ridiculously cheap. Should be more like Forward 25-35x or, 40-50p

Another 12-18 months growth like this and shares should be trading hands at 75-100p

Spread gives a bit of an inflated price rise however there is definite buying pressure on this stock over the last few days.

I hope it continues.

I was just looking at possible changes in the number of shares and those that might become available to us retail investors

I wondered whether the 9,131,677 owned by the estate of Dato Shamsir bin Omar might be disposed or distributed to beneficiaries, but since he died nearly 8 years ago, it's hard to know if or when that will be

The directors hold options over 5.3m shares at 2.5p until Dec 2024. Since the company pays no dividends, there is no need to exercise these options too soon.

There's another 5.3m options on the same terms for other staff i think, which are more likely to be sold and come to market. But maybe not until 2024

If all options were excerised Dato Hussein's holding would fall below 50%, so could he actually be a buyer to maintain his position?

I haven't yet figured out who Thornbeam are.

If this was going to be taken private, it would have happened back when the price was under 5p .. plenty of opportunity to have bought it back then for a very small sum.

I believe greater chance a player such as Stripe made an Offer at a premium. They have plenty of cash and looking to grow in new territories outside USA & Ireland.

MBO would instantly give them a presence in Malaysia

Also, given the significant internal holdings, taking it private has less to gain than when you see other firms do it, and is probably better for transparency to remain listed.

it's just something I'mm always conscious of because a lot of my holdings are in pensions

Given the planned growth via the UK subsidiary into the UK, I don't see it being taken private. A continued UK listing will be a benefit for the business

In the event of it going private (which in all honesty I hadnt considered) what then happens to the shareholdings. Im guessing they are retained but become illiquid? Do you think there is a good chance of this happening?
