26/11/2017 16:33 | For what this is worth, I have looked again at the Norra Karr project (part of Leading Edge Minerals) and find that little seems to have happened there since a PFS in 2015. The cost of developing NK was put at US$313m and the IRR estimated at 20% p.a. Comparable figures for Songwe are $345m and 37%. LEM is concentrating on its Graphite and Lithium projects for the moment. It may be, of course, that European car makers will come forward to participate in the NK project in which case LEM shares should do well. I have also had a glance at the Noble Group. Its financial problems are well known and it has been selling off oil-related assets at a great loss to reduce its debts. The money required by its subsidiary Talaxis for the deals with MKA is very small in proportion to Noble's debts but Noble's bankers might prove difficult all the same. Receipt by MKA of this money, payable by instalments, would be re-assuring. On balance I now find MKA shares attractive at under 8p, have bought a few back and may buy a few more. I suspect that some recent purchasers will sell their shares soon unless we see another surge. | varies

22/11/2017 11:28 | The price seems to be settling and I fancy it may decline a little further. I would then be tempted to buy my shares back. Mining.com publish today an intriguing article headed "Scientists produce high-grade rare earths from coal". This work is, of course, experimental but there would be little future for REE miners if this project can be taken to an industrial scale ! I hold no shares in MKA as I write but I do hold shares in Lynas and in Leading Edge Materials. LEM (quoted in Canada c.58c) has a big REE project in Sweden called Norra Karr (as well as graphite and lithium projects there)and I think that Norra Karr is comparable to Songwe. I am going to take a good look. | varies

22/11/2017 08:39 | Extract from 16/11/17 states: The definitive agreements are expected to be completed by January 31, 2017. The transaction is subject to the receipt of all necessary regulatory approvals including the approval of the TSXV and satisfaction of any conditions which it may impose. Does the regulatory approval come after the definitive agreements are completed? Can anyone confirm this? | pre |
