The bod have found it impossible to move
The project forwards with the contract
They currently have with the foundation.
It clearly makes sense if the law change is imminent, it clearly makes sense to wait.

Two months and eighteen days have passed without a whisper from the company, it would seem they are as much in the dark as every other holder of this rag bag of a stock that I have taken a few punts on, only to find myself hanging on with the rest of you that have faith and belief, only because of some of the fine research I have read on this thread.

How much longer before I bite the bullet is the question, fortunately I have not enough to make even a decent dent in the share price if I sold. I guess I am only holding on because my investment is small.

Luxury property demand returns

Since the summer, a renewed demand for luxury homes by foreign investors and buyers has been discerned, both in Attica and at popular holidays resorts around Greece.

According to the Athens bureau of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices (BHHS), “there is a momentum that is strong and clear in the southern suburbs of Athens, the Athens Riviera, and has now started being reflected also in the other areas traditionally associated with luxurious residences, such as Kolonaki, Filothei, Palaio Psychico and Kifissia/Ekali.”

It adds that, “at the same time, demand for lower-cost modern luxury homes is clearly rising in districts such as Palaio Falirio, Alimos, Elliniko, Vrilissia, Maroussi, Halandri, Agia Paraskevi and Holargos,” noting that demand in these areas mainly comprises Greek buyers.

Nevertheless, the main source of demand is Asia. The budgets available are often determined by the supply, the asset on offer, and mainly concern homes on the Athens Riviera, in the northern suburbs of Athens and on the islands. Of course, foreign investors do not have endless liquidity: “Buyers do not waste money. However, they trust the major international companies to make sure they purchase at the right price and make conscious choices given that they have a multitude of options across the Mediterranean – besides Greece – in Spain, southern France, Italy and Cyprus.”

BHHS notes there are various buyer profiles: There are those who go in for acquiring very expensive properties in the southern suburbs of Athens and on the most popular Greek islands. “They mostly originate from the US and the Middle East,” BHHS says. Then there are the buyers focused on acquiring a residence permit through the Golden Visa program. In their majority they come from China, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Russia and Turkey. They are mostly interested in a good investment, targeting capital gains from the expected increase in asset values. A third category of buyers comes mainly from Northern Europe, as well as France, Austria and Italy. They primarily eye income investments and secondarily capital gains, hence they buy based on rates concerning short- or long-term leasing.

Greece Betting on Tourism to Create New Jobs

Greece is setting its hopes on tourism and on investments in the sector to create new jobs that will support local communities and families, said Tourism Minister Vassilis Kikilias.

“Our goal is to invest in tourism to create better jobs, increase income and lead to the prosperity of the average Greek family,” said Kikilias during an interview on Real FM.

The minister committed to support tourism professionals and family businesses and work with stakeholders to “resolve issues and prepare for 2022”.

Kikilias referred to 320 million euros in European Recovery funds that will be channeled into tourism, tourism development, upskilling and training, hotel upgrades, digitization of services, a tourism registry and other actions.

The minister also referred to the added value to be created through a series of tourism investments.

Some good discussion in the last few days. I still think October will be significant in the history of MIN but if not it won't affect my commitment to the company....for now!

Microscope, it doesn't matter in the overall scheme of things but from memory the mm's jumped about a bit on Thurs afternoon with two turning blue & moving up onto the bid (but not offering more)and looking to buy so in the end there was three of them looking to buy, therefore I am favouring it as a PI buy via a worked order rather than a sale. If it had been a sale they would have moved up on the offer looking to sell what they had just bought which from memory they didn't do.

Given that it was a day delayed, and no price change, it would actually be more beneficial if it was an agreed price which finally, finally, cleared the seller. And it's not impossible that it could be the case, seen it plenty times before. The rather odd number is hopeful too in that could have been the amount they had left.It might not then take much buying for a bit of a rally. Of course it's by no means guaranteed that was the case, but fingers crossed!

Well I am sorry I still don’t/understand what the market makers are doing.

The wider share buying public have zero interest in Minoan they don’t the believe that Ce will ever get this moving.

The faithful remain faithful and are not going to be selling out .so if the mms are going to keep walking the price down they just kill off any interest in buying or selling.

The mm often generate two way trade by lifting the+price.

If The bod are unable to get this over the line in the current conditions in Greece then I suspect that the project is not capable of moving forwards.

I very much hope your prediction of a possible rns does not come to pass. ie we will now accelerate talks..

I personally am likely to stay till the end.

It is difficult to see why the share price would bounce upwards unless there is tangible news of progress in which case for me it is worth staying on board.

Thanks Atlantic, I'm actually well aware that I've probably been an irritation on this board to some for a while because I've always said it how I see it.I've never asked or expected anyone to agree with me and indeed it's good to have the many alternative views, such as your own. From the moment CE said in April that we'd get 'more frequent' updates and later added that despite slow talks with the Foundation, the intention to go ahead regardless, I think I've been very consistent in my view, that many years on from confirmation of the Presidential Decree, it was time for action. I always said the end of October was my time limit for some form of delivery. With the loan ending this month, and the new law imminent, the ducks are aligned and if CE still doesn't have anything ready, then I'll be off on any bounce.Luckily my holding is too small to impact the shareprice, and no doubt some of you will say 'Good Riddance'.I get that, no issue with it atall, and still genuinely hope it comes good for all of you who have long deserved success for your loyalty. But if there's no progress by 7am on Monday November 1st, apart from a rollover and talk of accelerating talks, I'm looking to get out.

I doubt that Christopher has any “ oven ready “ deals.

However your comments on Christmas do give hope for deals being announced before the end of 21 , if this law is passed in the month of October.

Easter is far bigger in Greece than Christmas. So I doubt they will be virtually closed down for December.

Microscope given it is now the 14 October ,I suspect the red hot favourite must be that the loan is rolled over for three months. I suspect Greece will shut down for Christmas from the first week in December.Lawyers in all countries move at snail space as it helps to raise queries and thus generate more fees.

The best we can hope for is the passing of the new laws which then lay the foundations for deals being announced in the first quarter of 2022.

I would love to be wrong but I think it is best to have realistic expectations.

Not many trades this week, think the market is firmly saying to CE 'Your Move'.If he's been proactive he should have partners waiting for the new law, ready to go, and within days of confirmation we should hear they've signed on the dotted line, and that the loan is sorted. If we hear that it will accelerate talks on the other hand, or that the loan has rolled over, I would take that as a disappointment. I've said it before, no more excuses, time for action, not yet more words.
