Britons eye Greek properties



The islands of the Cyclades, Lefkada and Cephalonia in the Ionian Sea, as well as the capital Athens and the nearby islands (e.g. Spetses, Hydra etc) are today the most expensive areas for investing in the property market across Greece. Nevertheless investment interest in them from abroad remains particularly strong and looks set to surge as soon as the health crisis is over.

Don’t be too sure DC. If MM were that short of stock I would have expected a them to have secured higher price for the 782k trade.

It should let any lingering seller out hopefully and has soaked up whatever was available.

The the 782k trade at 16.04pm I believe was a friend of mine, I put the phone down to him at 15.55pm and told him he may have trouble picking that many up in one trade.

But it is only £1K today and only significant when compared to the level of buying which also hasn't been much for a few days now. I would hazard a guess that the mm's would like to see both levels alot higher especially PI sales as they haven't seemed keen to carry many for a few months now and the more they might need the closer the company gets to some form of deal.

Early in the new year is pretty much passed I would say. From what Daicaprice said the other day already passed as far as he is concerned.

You might be right Skipper that the 100k was a buy the problem with reporting of trades we can never be sure but I still think it is our 100k seller but I could well be wrong.

The 100k at 1.20 is clearly a buy Boliviana, given the price paid for the trade before it. If you want to buy just use a fill or kill with a limit set at 1.25 and I am sure you will get a fill as long as no-one gets in ahead of you.

I agree Skipper, although there has been another 100k sell since your post so it seems our 100k seller has not done yet. MM's still bidding on 600k so they either have order to fill or confident they will sell them again at a profit.

Understandably the lack of this early in the new year update that has not yet materialised is unsettling some.

I see only one piddling sell of 36k unless the earlier trade at 1.20 was also a sell, which I think is unlikely. There are also now 3 market makers on the bid and only one on the ask, so nothing to get worried about imo. They want as much stock as they can get.

FWIW The buying last month (Feb)12,293,007 surpassed the selling 9,263,811 by 3,029,196 shares.

Similar is happening so far this month, more even as the buys for the three days so far amount to 1,485,224 and sells only 248,661 net 1,236,563.

The seller may be out ? - at worst is holding fire

Looking good for a positive update at some stage this month.

The 263k took a few more off the table, did well to get them at that price in one trade so probably through a broker and not online.

Well done Dai. I can recall have a slap up meal in the Caprice restaurant in Penarth many years ago. Strangely enough it was to celebrate the conclusion of a property deal.
