I've had enough, dumped for 670.27% profit.

Could have made so much more on this but oh well, good luck to all that are still in it.

If they were in it together, would they not have come out and shown their hand now they have over the threshold....That really would be game over for us.

Bit longer to wait, but it would be nice to see some other form of competition...it really does feel like a fizz rather than a bang, even though I am in profit.

Still reluctant to let go until forced to.

Jupiter up to 24%. Kifin reportedly has 29%. Are they in concert or opposition - together they now have over 50%?

Just had the call from Jupiters people, told him to get lost or words to that effect.
Only have a small holding here so prepared to hang on for a better deal or lettings news.
Have a bigger holding in NTA.

Why would the share price sit 1p above the bid price, is there still a better offer in the shadows?

Interesting, just had a call from someone on behalf of Jupiter asking me if I will accept the offer and encouraging me to ring my broker to sell my shares...

Anyone else had the same?

I am here - 3 predictions for you -

1. Kifin will offer 130p
2. Micro Focus will go for 445p in the next 3 weeks
3. HMV will carry out an MBO.

Post the statement to the top of this board and lets re-visit in the next 3 week.s

targa

Each time you sell shares you pay stamp duty - this is duly noted by the revenue - make no mistake about that

ak -47 - believe it or not but a lot of investors never reveal their gains. Tax inspectors regard investing as a mugs game. Personally i've filled my tax returns but others haven't. Hope this helps tt

If you transfer the shares to anyone other than your spouse it will be deemed as a disposal you will realise your gains and they are due for CGT. Your relatives can buy them at the price you wish to sell at and they will not incur CGT on any future gains if put in an ISA. Any gain in share price up to the disposal/transfer date is yours and you will have to pay CGT.
If you transfer them to your spouse, I think she is assumed to have bought them at the same price you originally paid. If she goes on to sell them then she is liable for the full CGT and not you.

Quick question guys about ISA's as I'm going to get hammered with tax when I sell these.

If I transfer shares to family members and use thier isa allowance, can they sell them a month later without paying any tax?

I thougtht the information provided by Baldy was on the whole remarkably accurate actually. I think it's game over here now - time to move on.

Was that before the imminent bid for Micro Focus?

Baldy all will be forgiven if atleast one of your predictions are right - especially MNR...

Forget Baldy....he's an absolute bullsh!tter.

Which of his predicitins do you want to check on.....Kirsh offer or Walbrook letting.

He called the predicition right of a 120p bid after it was published in the FT.......

Check out the HMV thread, where his 'contact' has now informed him of an imminent MBO.
