APPOINTMENT OF NEW INDEPENDENT DIRECTOR

Millennium & Copthorne Hotels plc (M&C) is pleased to announce today that Mrs Vicky Williams will be joining M&C's Board of Directors as an independent Non-Executive Director immediately following the Company's Annual General Meeting scheduled to take place on Friday, 10 May 2019.

Mrs Williams has over 38 years of human resources experience. She currently serves as the People Director of the LTA, Tennis for Britain, a position that sits on the LTA's executive committee and oversees human resource matters for all employees and volunteers at the LTA. Prior to joining the LTA in 2013, Mrs Williams held various senior human resource roles at Compass Group plc between 1991 and 2012, most recently serving as HR Director for its Business & Industry Division. She started her career at Marks & Spencer Group plc, where she worked in various capacities for 11 years.

This appointment follows a search process led by M&C's Nominations Committee. With the appointment of Mrs Williams, the Board will be comprised of six independent Non-Executive Directors and the three Non-Executive Directors who are nominees of M&C's controlling shareholder, City Developments Limited.
