Still no sign of Englands_Glory hopefully he will stay clear when the next results are due..

egoi - The £1.45M sales in 2007 includes £800k from 2006 - real sales up from £650k to £1.5 M therefore which is quite an achievement in the current climate but it must be moderated by the fact they seemed to take their eye off the ball in 2006/7. IMO pre 2008 announcements were "through rose glasses" presenting the most optimistic scenario. Realism, I hope, is the new mode for MBK. Forecast of £3M(?) looks good.

If £92k was enough to get them from 31 March to now without going to the market again maybe they won't need more funds. If they don't go to the market in the next few months then IMHO the new management has made a good start and with the lossy parts of the business gone and the new structure they may do well but 2.5M without a profit is a concern.

Well sorry but I thought this was only adequate. Yes I know they've been through a tough patch and I think the only Mill that Stefanini was, was a Millstone! But i guess the fact they are surviving is a plus, but it is barely break even and it looks as though they are still virtually ex-growth with 1.5 million against 1.45 million sales.

Cost saving remains crucial, though at least they've stemmed losses, to any profit, and the need remains to conserve cash. Lots of challenges ahead imho and 2 million market cap may not sound a lot but there are I think better opportunities on Plus-Quoted with similar market caps.

I've followed this company since ofex days.

I would say it's a good start by the new management. Now what they need to do is get the TOF SIMS CORRECT and we should see some good profit as the Mini SIMS on it's own is not enough to keep things going. The main interest is in the TOF so hopefully they would make a concerted effort in this area, or profits from the other devisions would soon be swolled up.

you could be right
but imo £92k isn't that much and isn't going to last that long.
Not the end of the world if they need more funds, if they can raise them that is. if not then.... well i won't go there as i don't think that would be the case.

Surely the loss of £187k includes £183k from discontinued operations.
If you take that away ( discontinued, so it would seem that aspect is now at an end ) it suggests they are now close to break even.

Or do you read it differently?

what happened to the excellent forward looking statement and all the other waffle you tried to ramp with.

As it happens i am pleased with the results and encouraged that the companies prospects are now looking more positive. However i will not be counting chickens etc or ramping as mbk still has a lot to prove. As we all know general trading conditions are going to be very difficult for the forseable future due to global economic conditions.

Good to see so far this year is ahead of last year

although only a modest increase.

Net funds are a bit of a concern as

not likely to last for the full year as
"Loss for the period (187,427) 2008"
So i would imagine some more funds will be required at some stage soon going by previous cash burn (which might be less or more now).

Not really much more in the finals except mbk seem to be making sure they look for new development areas/R+D which is good but we do need a substantial increase in orders to get us into a profitable trading enviroment IMO.

Worth holding but will not be topping up.imo

Looks quite positive - IMHO they have turned the corner and can build rapidly now their various problems are resolved. Looking forward to a realistic forecast for a change.

rich - hope you're right about EG and that he doesn't return.

Well IMHO not a bad set of results considering how much of a difficult year it has been for MBK. IMHO an excellent recovery play here!

All IMHO of course, DYOR etc.

top results can definately see this hitting 10p. (in the year 2018 maybe)
on a realistic note mbk is still hanging in there and hopefully can start to grow now.

Your nano-analysis is way behind everyone else on this forum. Unlike you a real investor doesn't get distracted by short term blips and doesn't splatter their analysis about for everyone to read. You will make a modest profit from your antics but it will not be at our expense !

The reason this board is so tedious is that the company (mbk (incase EG doesn't know the name)) gives out so much information on their improving performance that we cannot keep up. (forecast 10p by results you know)LOL
