10/1/2008 11:46 | k123 i don't think you will be able to buy 250K.. although my holding is still in tact..(tend to hold medium term).. but good luck anyway.. saffy.. | safman
10/1/2008 11:43 | Good day all, It is realy difficult to buy in any good quantity? There has been the sells so why not match them with buys and make money?MMs. More is going on behind closed doors! I do not think they can tell or give information to individual on the phone. I will try to buy more but not very +ive about the possibility. There has been a buy order i know of for 5m @3.5p since 2nd Jan.No chance. why one of big holders are not selling? @3p will try to buy 250k? Good luck to all. | k123
09/1/2008 19:03 | I have sold down about 3/4 of my holding as on trying a dummy sell today I was offered 3.16p after previously having sold half to lock in 1bagger plus gain so decided to sell that tranche to to make my total sell of 3/4. I posted on Sharecrazy b4 my sell today however as follows: "I still hold and spoke with the non exec chairman of MSG over the telephone. Timescale for possible action is about the end of this month. I have to pay Gordon Brown by 31/01/08 hence my recent locking in of some profits. RTO possibilty terminated some while ago when new parties interested in new media direction for MSG (a tiny TV co atm virtually a clean shell). New media MSG could be non-geograpic common interest type. Some new blood and cash can also be hoped for though if v. successful the usual caveat about future cash raising. Decent MM behaviour over share price atm. Despite my sells yesterday of just over half my holding buying online today still difficult and bearing in mind 1400% share price gain since September the couple of % points fall is miniscule. All imho so dyor" I now hold c.1/4 of my original short term stake. As will be seen from my SC post above, Gordon Brown will want some dosh from me by 31/01/08 hence the need to extract some from MSG profit while the going was good. Interestingly the 3.16p bid share price which I took was offered after the initial 4% fall this morning. Also I still could not subsequent to my sell, buy any online for my long term SIPP. | maytrees

07/1/2008 11:41 | Locked in just under half my MSG gains (at 3.15p) Intersting the sale showed up only momentarily but seems to have been deleted though it ticked down the share price by c. 1.5% DYOR - I still hold quite a few | maytrees
07/1/2008 09:47 | Agreed andrbea Is that another late reported trade of 110K+ at 4.40p? If so what next? | maytrees
07/1/2008 09:19 | Friday night if a 110K msg shares buy at 4.40p (4840 pounds) goes thru' at a 30% premium to the offer price, makes U wonder what a bigger buy would do to the share price .. free float: tight as a drum if U ask me. nia dyor | andrbea
05/1/2008 19:29 | "Although investment in the group's local TV licences has been fully written down in the Company's books, the Board believes the channels could add value either to an enlarged Milestone Group or a third party." good luck.. saffy.. | safman
05/1/2008 17:20 | Greetings mm2. The following from the last results statement may be the basis for any corporate action: "The television division continues to trade at a modest loss broadly in line with expectations. Although investment in the group's local TV licences has been fully written down in the Company's books, the Board believes the channels could add value either to an enlarged Milestone Group or a third party. The future of the assets is therefore likely to be influenced by the Company's wider strategic review which is ongoing. In the meantime, trading is expected to remain subdued in light of the exceptionally low overheads now in place. The Company continues to be at the forefront of campaigning for local television to gain access to the Freeview platform post digital switchover. Meetings have been attended with both DCMS and DTI who are now expecting to make policy decisions, with Ofcom, in the coming year." | maytrees
05/1/2008 12:00 | 4.4p is a vote of confidence, this would of been the best MM price offered, the MMs for a while have been hanging onto this stock not allowing any decent buys and the 4.4p trade confirms this with a way over the odds price, why ? the MMs certainly know something and im sure we shall find out soon, and with next to nothing free stock the price could move north very fast from here All IMO | market maker2
05/1/2008 11:57 | Greetings timely For some reason the MSG thread on ADVFN seems beset with posters enthusing about other cos' prospects. whereas MSG has so far been the best investing home since September 2007 anyway when its offer share price was c.0.27p or lower. None the less tx for raising MHG. A cursory glance indicates some similarities fin/fundies-wise with MSG, although the financial sector is not in the best shape atm. Whereas MSG's exit strategy then boiled down to a voluntary closure with net assets returned to shareholders or a RTO (maybe now a straightforward t/o) MHG's is "focusing on its core strengths in the areas of advisory services, investment and proprietary share trading with our recruitment programme will generate increasing value for our shareholders". MSG strategy when I DMOR on it in Sept. 2007 appeared to me to limit the downside for shareholders whilst offering possibly large rewards, MHG's likewise offers the latter but not so clearly to me anyway, the former, which is a not uncommon investing dilemma to face. All imho so DYOR | maytrees
05/1/2008 11:41 | k123 greetings again. I hope you spotted the "lol" on my post above as the suggestion that the 4.40p buy might have been yours was intended purely as tongue in cheek comment. You might be interested in the following extract from my earlier post on sharecrazy: "...Only 3 possible reasons (imho) for someone buying 100k+MSG shares on Friday at a premium of 33% over the published mkt sp, namely: 1. A PI having seen the share price rise almost daily for weeks decided that investing in MSG shares is like a licence to print money so s/he made a buy at a wildly high share price to join in. Unlikely imho as even the current published sp of 3.30p is way over SC BB guesstimate of 2.50p take out share price and a stock like MSG hardly known outside of BB talk. 2. Insider knowledge. Legal insider knowledge I comment on in 3. below but illegal insider info seems highly unklikely to me. Afterall the probability of a t/o or other shareholder value enhancing corporate action has been in the public domain for weeks - which is exactly why I invested. Also risking a criminal record for insider dealing, would hardly be worth the bother for only a couple of thousand £s. 3. Legal insider dealing. B4 Friday Finn's last published holding exceeded 28% of MSG's equity. They or their clients must be involved with any corporate action. The way the share price has been rocketing, the longer they wait the higher the share price and the more expensive the corporate action. My concern has been about them walking away but no large share sales have taken place and b4 Friday's close there were yet again none available to buy online. The 100k+ buy at the one third premium therefore could be the Finn team taking their holding up to the t/o threshold. If so the 4.40p they paid could be indicative of the offer sp although the quote at 4.5p justb4 theclose is interesting. 3. Above seems the most likely but an RNS next week perhaps even on Monday should then follow. There is I suppose a 4th possibilty namely 4. Wishful thinking I have put these thoughts down in some detail as if 3. above proves correct then my current investing strategy of (trying to) limit(ing) DIY investing to a handful of tiny caps and even then subject to much DMOR first, may be be vindicated. If not, re-reading the posts may assist in working out a better method. All imho so dyor DYOR" We should know more next week. | maytrees
05/1/2008 08:20 | Hope you guys won't mind me asking about another stock on this bb, but you seem to be in the 'know' - has MHG appeared on your radar or are they a waste of time? Any opinions welcome. | timely
04/1/2008 20:08 | Maytrees- No it was not. I will have to contact few people over the weekend, maybe someone i know? I am not ready to pay more than 3.5/3.75p,but happy to see someone has!I never thought this will get to this level. we should look at 5p now? Thanks and have a nice weekend. | k123
04/1/2008 19:58 | Greetings k123 - I had wondered if that buy was yours; averaging up again - lol. I agree that news should be v. soon; hopefully next week. Have a good w/e meanwhile. | maytrees
04/1/2008 19:40 | I think is more than hope paying 4.4p for offer of 3.3p!nearly 30% more? What are they expecting?100% 0r........ But i hope they have some information we do not. We could be near! imo. | k123
04/1/2008 16:48 | Someone bought 110K msg shares at 4.40p at the close when the published offer share price was only 3.30p. Presumably like myself they hope for if not expect, an RNS v. soon. But DYOR - I hold | maytrees
04/1/2008 15:15 | Now the on-line buying opportunity has passed again, again there is now no on-line stock left. Must be due another tick-up one assumes. W47 - If you hadnt noticed people tend to discuss MSG here, not the other dozen or so 100% in a day you profess. Dorset | dorset64
04/1/2008 14:48 | Good fortune to you william47 | maytrees |
