I agree "knowing" I'm waiting for that one big deal that will transform the company, management are not daft, they know what to do in the next 18 months especially in China or South Korea

Any "White Label" deal will see this up over 100%. The strides that the company have taken with the appointment of new Distributors in key markets is vital to their growth. I would think that discussions in some of their key markets may be well advance especially China.

Thanks Dr, I'll hope management is in a similar state of mind as you are and they will strike an attractive deal to secure the company's future

No. The product is of interest and that could easily be licensed without taking on the ancillary staff. Every major instrument manufacturer has its own sales/technical teams.

If this was a private company then they would have about 1/4 of the staff and the pay would be a lot lower (admittedly progress would be slower). Can’t help but look at sphere medical that have just gone under. Managed to produce a 4th generation product without selling any of the previous three, and they paid themselves handsomely until the cash (from Woodford) ran out. It’s not so bad here, but the directors salaries are more than the total sales.

The results talk about a product being released in the 2nd half of 2020. A year from now they will probably have less than a years cash left, so without a fund raise or major improvement in revenue it’s going to be quite tight. Hopefully they can pull a rabbit out of the hat and reward all the holders.

I’ll keave you guys alone now, hope it works out.

Is Microsaic attractive as a take over target?

That;s ok bones.

I just feel at 1p offer there is strong support and if we wait at that level the company will sign something up and we'll get 30-50% out of it on a spike perhaps more if it's the right deal.

I always buy some more at 1p or under, another great opportunity

All tucked away, will check back on progress next year

Unfortunately, Dave, the company consistently spends £3M+ per annum and loses well over £2M. That cash will soon deplete so they need to find a catalyst for growth or else it’s the begging bowl once more.

I have reduced my position considerably at an indecent loss as I did not feel the mood music with the interims update, especially with a hint of operational delays in place and no mention about sales momentum via the new distributors.

Like you, I feel the need for cash in my account!

Once again strong support at 1p offer and always well bid around the 0.9p area.

Seeing as we were 1.7p recently you can understand why with cash covering most of the lower valuation

Entirely new strategy needed here. What happened to the triple quad they announced a few years back? That would be a higher value product.

Even more reason to tie up with a big partner on the bioprocessing front.

I think the numbers are just too small at the moment for them to make any decent revenue and profit figures.

OEM sakes will also make less. When I worked for a small HPLC company we made an autosampler that we sold for about 10k to uk customers. We sold this for about 6k to our overseas distributors and a little less to those who rebadged it (and sold 4 at a time). Cost of manufacturing was about 3.5k (this figure has a lot of uncertainty as we tried to include design cost as well as manufacturing). So we’d make more than twice as much profit for a direct sale.

Typically we’d give a distributor 3 years to see if they were any good. You could normally judge how active they were by the level and quality of communication with them, but obviously the figures were the proof.

Three years is ok for a private company that is profitable and not under pressure. Given the high cash burn here with shareholders to answer to, they have half of this.

Peak sales for us were about £1.5m for our most successful product (total turnover about £5m). We were a niche player, did some business with a bigger partner but never really enough. If they do that here I feel they will have done well. We were a company of 10

Dr B in some of these countries it can take up to 24 months for budget to be allocated and sales to materialize. If the company manages to achieve one OEM sale then it is a different proposition and hence why the price is what it is today.

Knowing - You can sell parts and PM/OQ services, but if you’ve only sold 50 units it’s not going to add a lot. Can sell engineer time at £1000 a day, but that would only be for units sold in the uk.

To me it looks like they are spending way beyond their means.

If you look at their last RNS the say that the Korean deal was their 10th partnership agreement. How many of these have produced any sales?

Made the best out of a bad situation

Somebody is selling out, perhaps MITON if they do still have a few.

I could buy a million earlier but now no quote for even 100k

Perhaps it was a gift but I'm not going to moderate negative comments about the results because they were indeed poor. At least there is a lot of cash to tide them
over for a good while so no placing worries.

What about consumables for the instruments? If they can achieve an OEM deal companies like this often make significant profits from the consumables used in the device.

No argument from me either. When ITX issued similar numbers I posted negatively on the thread and the price did drop a lot.

But I think the price has dropped too far so cautiously bought back the 150k I sold
at the open at 1.7p for 0.99p

Awful markets, I'm keeping all my future punts small now
