in all honesty, I don't believe that Loosemore and co need any pressure, particularly given Loosemore's personal holding!! I really think it was case of getting rid of Hsu, and then re-applying the normal MCRO business model. The risks are high of course, but the rewards will be substantial, even if only partially successful. Still hovering around a single digit PE as well.

Hopefully they will put pressure on MCRO and get things moving to get the share price back up quickly!

Elliott stake confirmed at over 5%. Media reports proved correct. MH proved to be a numpty.....

I love stocks with big short interests. This is effectively pent-up demand for shares which we know is coming - ultimately they have to buy back. It also means that the effect of any good news is multiplied as the shorts get squeezed (eg the Elliot news). My targets - £15 by end of summer, £20 by the end of the year as the (proven) management get to grips with the problems. Of course, execution risk remains, but I think that's in the price now.

Rubbish, they bought a small stake under 3%, why mention they bought did not have to. One reason share price reaction, which they got, very clever.

Report suggests they want to push changes through... surely they know how much they need to hold to achieve this...I'm sure they will increase this amount slowly or maybe to remain anonymous other parties might be buying aswell keeping below threshold... When the time is right then makevthe swoop

Sadly so far just rumours and as pointed out likely less than 3%.Likely they will just watch awaiting next reporting cycle.

Right now Elliott probably think the sum of the parts is worth more than the whole.
At what price does the sum of the parts equal the whole or does aggregation enhance the value or distract from the value (of the sum)?
Elliott probably think the latter but they're on a one way bet because at this share price the company is undervalued on both scenarios.

It's called a win/win deal, or trade, if you like.

All Elliott has to do is sit tight... like most of the players who bought on the pull-back.
Nice!

Of course massive bear squeeze, is it all hype, what they going to do, not even a stake over 3%, I can see.
Why should Micro Focus take any notice. If it was my company I would tell them to go forth and multiply.
One thing perhaps Micro Focus directors are happy, got the shareprice up, lol.

Thats right not 5% not even over 3% even otherwise they have to announce rns under UK stockmaket rules
So why not say how many they bought, I reckon well under 3%, could this be all hype. Lets wait and see.
I will take notice when we know how many shares and if they can get a seat on the board.
