If it so nailed-on that the market will go down tomorrow because of Article 50 being triggered why on earth would anybody buy today? If it was so nailed-on that the MicroFocus share price would soar after the company joined the FTSE 100 why did nobody buy the shares before they did?

Answers on a postcard to montybilge. He probably won´t understand them but his microbrain needs the exercise.

SP is up because Dustin Jonson is a favourite forthe Masters

But as people realise he probably cant win again then they will probably go down next week (or even sooner)

Bull markets don't last forever, markets ahead of events. Micro Focus holding very well, with all the uncertainty, US, Article 50 triggered tomorrow.

Markets going through the biggest bull move in a decade. Economies surging ahead. We're basically in the 17 century with the 21 century a few years down the line.

It's just the FTSE looking so toppy, pullback I reckon around 29th MarchWhen article 50 triggered. May just spook the market. Of course correction everything gets hit the good, bad and ugly.

Looks like the £ could get stronger, I'm being careful of the dollar earners.

We all know interest rate rise in US tomorrow, but any negative comment with it could spook the markets worldwide.

Let's hope revenue will improve at HP down 8% and we are paying top dollar, can't afford any more revenue slip ups.

By the way, well played on SPE, monty.
I've gone for PRSM for my next growth play.
Good luck.

To me Micro Focus is priced to perfection, hopefully no slip ups.

Thanks, good reply, the only thing, HP software revenue down 8% that's quite a bit, is there a caveat to pay less if revenue does fall further, my fear is Micro pay to much.

I would confine HPE's USD debt concerns to their USD earnings which are at comfortable levels. For the takeover, MCRO's share price is at all time highs, which is good leverage for the purchase (66% in shares). The other $2.5bn for the deal will be in USD.

Once the merger is complete, the new group has substantial dollar earnings to hedge their GBP revenue - good re:Brexit etc.

Is the strong dollar and weak a double edge sword, HP blaming strong dollar, but weak pound good for Micro, although debt in dollars, any thoughts.

LeejpAlso with a high p.e, Micro can't have any mishaps or disappointments otherwise shareprice gets hammered. All being well, should do ok.

If, a big word, they got to improve margins with 8% fall in revenue. But see your point.

Price to book for HPE is a very reasonable 1.2. The PBR x PE is well below 22 @ 15.1 Mr B Graham would be proud.

Or EV / Revenue is 0.8 - good value.

The EV is not that much more than the NAV. I think it's cheap.

If MCRO can improve the Op. margin and ROC of HPE to be closer to their own, while maintaining the profit as a % of EV that HPE have, they will do very well.

Don't buy a share just for the dividend, what you gain in income, you can lose out in capital invested, if the shareprice falls.
