I’m glad I topped up within the last two weeks by selling other stocks! I put almost 80% into this one as I believe in technology being the future over the coming years! Next 3 to 4 years if this stays independent then at today price level the dividends will be significant especially if you have these in your ISAs!

Yep, be interesting to see any additional action when US start trading via MFGP US listing. 540p key resistance that needs to be taken out and held. Then from a charting perspective 1000p next main target medium term, with small test at 600p and 800p.Should be very interesting days and weeks ahead and good year on this one!

Here you go:-

Andy Jassy, who runs the cloud division (CEO), will succeed Jeff Bezos as CEO of Amazon in the third quarter of this year.

Problem now is that all the cloud company can eye on MCRO and peopel like GOOGLE and Microsoft to spend 10 to 20 bln to get the company is not a big deal. Buy at the dip all the way.....

This will fly once US opens and people will see deal with Amazon is a big deal and will increase the earning due to wide customer base. This will be soon going to sky. Happy days again. Enjoy the ride.

What will become fun is if (when) we receive an RNS with a TR1 for Amazon.....I really would not be surprised if they were already building a position.

markbell exactly. hence why i mention possible offer.

bipos. not common as far as im aware. AWS & azure, work with a lot of partners/ resellors. its a mutually beneficial relationship. the resllor/ partner needs the cloud. and AWS gets someone to design, implement- migrate, work wiht the client on the ground.

So issuing warrants seem like a more significant substantial relationship than the usual resellor one.

The Count....my calc:

EBITDA $1.2b
Valued at (say) 12 times EBITDA = $14.4b
Less: debt (net) -$4.0b
Enterprise value $10.4b

Exchange at 1.4$ = £1 £ 7.43b

Present value at share price 508p = £1.7b

Therefore, target value = 7.43/1.7 *508p = 2,220p

This is based on assumption that (revenues * margin) fall is slowing and will then increase for inflation.
Todays news makes this very likely.

Cityindex chart view.............."Today’s 13% surge higher has seen the share price jump above its 20 & 50 sma on the daily chart. The RSI has also moved from a neutral position into bullish territory but is not yet overbought so is supportive of further gains. Near term resistance can be seen at today’s high 509 a level which capped gains in December. A move beyond here could see 542 come into focus -a level which has capped gains in mid-February and again in early June 2020. A move above this level could see the bullish move gain momentum. On the flip side support can be seen at 450 and 430 the 20 sma and 50 sma respectively. It would take a move below 380 for more bears to jump in."

If we see 380 again - I'll eat my cat. ;-)

do anyone know weather it common for amazon to normally take a option 5% of the company that contracts that it awards to?

"The vesting of the warrants is subject to acceleration in certain limited circumstances (including a change of control of the Company or a sale of certain parts of the Group). "

Im no expert in this area but it would appear the foundation is already being laid

There will be competition from the other big players, no doubt about that - such as Microsoft, Accenture and MarkIT to name a few, but AWS has some clout, very big clout and MCRO have real expertise in legacy systems and mainframe transformation programs, which is key. There is a big enough market to aim for, for all of these companies to take a share.

I bought a few shares some week back based on this being a recovery play, the 2-3 year cashflow potential.

Overall I think this is a massive piece of news and definitely signals the right intent and direction. So we have the route to improved/ new revenues in a way which is future forward, plus the cost reduction activity= positioning MCRO for years to come.

I should say that the cloud space is incredibly aggressive- microfsoft azure does private to public which is appealing to certain organisations and their data needs. google cloud is third place- but with their size and bank they will continue to compete. But AWS is clearly the front runner.

The warrants are interesting. basically 5% of the company. wouldnt be that surprising to see some sort of offer in the future.

AWS are rapidly expanding right now in Europe and as an example, are in the process of opening new AWS offices in Zurich, Switzerland.

I can tell you, from the horses mouth, that major financial institutions in this region are actively planning ahead for the move from the Mainframe to the Cloud.

These companies spend 100's of millions each year on their legacy systems, in terms of licensing fees, operating and support costs. This gives you an idea of the potential value of these contracts and the savings that can be made.

It will hurt the likes of IBM in terms of lost licensing revenue, but AWS / MCRO will reap the rewards.
