A lot of companies are going to come out the other side of this with huge debts and/or diluted shares.
Picking through and avoiding those is a must if you want any kind of returns over the next 5-10 years.

But if Corona resurfaces to any extensive level again over the next 6-8 months, you will see £2. If it doesn't then you likely won't, but a debt mgmt strategy has to be formulated and implemented to progress share price confidence.

Am not deramping, but am not delusional, asset sales or share issue to clear down debt is a very possible outcome. This is not a one way ticket to riches, and don't believe anyone who tells you so. Usually, the more rampy they are, the more they are betting on a single share, danger Will Robinson ;)
Am not bothered if you think I have shares or not.
Listening to Monty et al at 400-500p mark cost a lot of investors.

Don't worry, I have bought in near lows on a fair few since March.
You keep an eye on the compass and direction, I'll keep an eye out to check if it's been holed below the waterline.

Nice to get paid waiting for 945p the fair value price given to Micro by Simply Wall Street.
My other software tech share Kainos new high p.e 71 and very happy, Micro focus forecast p.e about 4.
Just shows what premium investors put on a perceived growth share.

Ham - And using your same analogy....from what I've seen thus far, you appear to be an absolute expert on Boats (as in missing them). Bit more practice on recognising intra-day trading patterns and we may yet get you up to junior cabin boy status! ;-)

Monty, if the share price keeps rising, I am not worried about a dividend, when it levels off, that is the time that a dividend will make a difference to the share price as investors seek yields.

Happy that MRCO hangs onto the dividend and pays down debt to strengthen the longer term balance sheet for the time being. There may also be advantageous acquisition opportunities for those with cash.

Interesting if some companies start doing this I see Direct Line, paying a special interim dividend saying a full catch up of the cancelled dividend.
Now Micro Focus were paying 53c dividend then of course cancelled because of uncertainty over corona virus. Could we see next set of figures a special catch up dividend.

A little bit of profit taking and then I think we will be off again. Noticed is recent days, a bit of a dip in the mornings and recovery in the afternoon, US closed at 307p+ yesterday.

I think that 300p is the new psychological bottom, personally looking for 350p very short term.

Very excited about MCRO at the moment and holding DYOR.
