11/12/2012 09:56 | break out here? seems to be going against the market | h0me
08/10/2012 07:27 | Back to 2008/9 lows, methinks. Employment levels will get worse before they get better, and MPI is in a sector that is a leading forward indicator of economic conditions. | pbracken
03/5/2012 14:09 | Well if it was, it isn't now: Soon be at the 200 day, but that is heading nowhere but down, and the 50 day will be heading down soon as well. RWA turning down as well: | imastu pidgitaswell
01/5/2012 16:00 | Bouncing off the 100 day moving ave here. CR | cockneyrebel
08/3/2012 11:29 | STHR, much cheaper than MPI and a better performer and divi payer imo - trading update tomorrow or Mon imo: How has MPI outperformed so much? Or will STHR play catch up? | cockneyrebel
01/3/2012 08:18 | Do you think so? I thought they are a bit weak, particularly the UK, and don't support the current valuation too well - but can discuss over there... | imastu pidgitaswell
01/3/2012 07:43 | strong results over at Robert Walters associates this morning: | abcd1234
01/2/2012 14:01 | soemthing going on? break out and stable above 400..? | h0me
01/2/2012 13:55 | why the strength in the share price today ? t.i.a | abcd1234
11/1/2012 16:14 | Michael Page International Plc surged 5.7 percent to 364.9 pence after after the company reassured analysts on a conference call, said Oriel Securities Ltd.'s Hector Forsythe. There was an "air of reassurance from management" about the outlook for the recruiter, Forsythe said in a telephone interview. The company also reported an 18 percent increase in full- year pretax profit to 85 million pounds ($130.9 million). That fell short of analysts' median estimate of 88.95 million. 08/12/2011 08:33 | "..Under Financial Services Authority Listing Rules, directors cannot deal in the 30 days before a trading statement. However, Michael Page said yesterday's announcement was unscheduled so was not covered by a closed period..." I wonder if they will get away with that excuse? If they do it will allow other companies to duck the rule by never giving a date in advance. On the other hand, investors might conclude that failure to publish a date is itself a warning. | m.t.glass
05/12/2011 07:51 | most of the warning in the price here tho isn't? Fell 15 on Friday after STHR warned and there's great chart support around the 240 level. If this is the end of the bear market on the back of a Euro deal then investors are likely to move to cyclicals from defensives here and look through the next 3 to 6 months imo. Recruiters are the sort that bounce biggest and earliest when mkts change imo and well before you get the good news imo. CR | cockneyrebel
05/12/2011 07:37 | Good call, stdyeddy .A real con that they were allowed to sell shares on 22nd november. | miti 1000
22/11/2011 16:20 | Yet another board director, this time the finance director, selling mpage shares. I wonder if he'll be followed by the chief exec over the next few days. These three called the top of the market for mpi shares a few years ago when they all sold in close proximity to each other. am increasing my short. | stdyeddy
16/11/2011 17:49 | Yet another director (the company's no.2 exec, responsible for running MPI european ops) has cashed in shares today on the day that the stock gets puffed by an institutional accomplice... I mean investment firm. Recession all around and economic contraction forecast virtually world-wide. I hear MPI is battening down the hatches and preparing for tough times ahead. Recruitment is the first thing to suffer in a contracting economy - I don't know how investment 'experts' have the gall to promote businesses in the face of the most obvious loss of profits. They're a great business but I'm shorting this one for the time being until economies show definite signs of recovery. | stdyeddy
16/11/2011 08:05 | raised to overweight at HSBC today. CR | cockneyrebel
02/11/2011 15:10 | on the up again - a retest of that high will be nice :-) CR | cockneyrebel
27/10/2011 12:00 | Lovely breakout - going way higher imo CR | cockneyrebel
25/10/2011 10:25 | Doesn't want to give much back imo CR | cockneyrebel |
