Rates up on Thursday by another 25 bps taking interest rates to 1%..Metro Bank has added 100 bps on £16b of loans thats £160m long term added to profit..Not sure of the proportion of varable to fixed rate lending but even half that figure moves Metro closer to breakeven in H2.

I think the idea is that you buy before the share price jumps up & then sell, not buy after the event. I don't buy shares immediately after a positive trading update because inevitably they re-trace as profits are taken.
