Looks like the marketmakers are short of stock, good timing when the AGM is due.

Given the smell the Rankin family seem to have created at ULG (re share selling immediately prior to profit warning) do you think this will have an adverse impact on MTG share price?

Given their record at ULG do you have any idea what they know that is not yet public which prompted buys at MTG? I definitely think that these are folk where it pays to pay attention ... stick close and follow their moves! On that basis I would have been inclined to buy MTG but for the potential fall out from ULG.

Interesting to watch the two companies that the Rankins are involved with
Metnor and Ultimate Leisure(ulg)Seems the fortunes of one is the opposite to the other! Had shares in both now only Metnor

Somebody told me it was in the mail as well, not that I would even use that paper to wipe my backside.

And the Independent:

"..Elsewhere at the small-cap end of the market, Metnor jumped 12.5p to 226.5p after a series of sizeable director share purchases. David Pinkerton, an executive director at the industrial group, led the way with the purchase of 110,000 shares at prices between 210p and 213p. There were also purchases by Robert Pratt, Alan Greenwell and Keith Atkinson, who together bought 166,000 shares within the same price range...."

Nice to see Directors putting their money where their mouths are.

Shame markets are dire at the mo but should be some positive press comment tomorrow.

There's no doubt they had a difficult 2004, but looks like 2005 should be brighter, and the Director Buys are interesting indeed. Chief Exec optimistic - summed up by his comments re Final Results:

"I believe 2005 will see significant advances which should bring the profitability we all hope for and expect."

number of contracts pending which could make this company grow very quickly, directors look like they might know some of these are in the bag.

Interesting. Concerted buying by directors after results... (Note: I've edited the layout compared to the RNS to make it a bit less confusing)

Quiet board this one. MTG looks like a reasonable value/recovery situation. I bought a few this morning, not showing yet.

Its one off the few shares I feel comfortable holding long term, fairly tolerant of the market and still in an up trend. Going x-divi next month and AGM end off this, will see it above year high before long. IMHO
