08/7/2018 14:14 | Cupric back in 2015... The feasibility study has demonstrated that the Khoemacau project is viable as a 3,6 Mt/a (10 000 t/d) copper – and silver – producing operation commencing in sulphide material and with recovery via conventional milling and froth flotation processing. It will exploit the resource at Zone 5. Copper is the driver of the project with silver expected to contribute only around 10 % of Khoemacau’s revenue stream. The final product of the mine will be a high-grade concentrate of approximately 40 % copper with relatively low impurity lev- els which will be shipped to smelters either in the region or overseas for final processing. The plant is expected to recover 85,4 % of the cop- per in the ore and 75 % of the silver. Says Rasmussen: “We did trade-off stud- ies to determine whether to go the open-pit or underground mining route and there is no doubt that the underground option is far superior, despite the higher capex involved and the fact that it will take us up to 18 months to reach the orebody. Militating against an open-pit solution is the very high strip ratios involved – at least 11 to 1 is the best case. As our mining method, we’ve chosen sublevel open stoping, which is successful at mines around the world. Some of our neighbours have material that demands sub-level caving; however, our rock is very com- petent and sublevel open stoping is ideal. | dogrunner11
08/7/2018 13:52 | CUPRIC Canyon Capital said its proposed Khoemacau underground copper mine in Botswana’s Kalahari Copper Belt could become twice as large as the 50,000 tonnes/year set down in its ‘starter project’ which it financed in February. The US investment firm said last month that it had arranged a $50m term loan facility with Red Kite Mine Finance through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Khoemacau Copper Mining. The proceeds from the loan would be used to finance project development costs and front-end engineering ahead of full scale construction in the second half of this year. Khoemacau has been scoped to produce 50,000 tonnes/year of copper and 1.4 million ounces/year of by-product silver at a capital cost of $350m which would be extended to 80,000 tonnes/year in time. | dogrunner11
07/7/2018 11:54 | “We are very encouraged by the initial findings of the T3 Underground Project investigations and the prospect that room-and-pillar underground mining of the high-grade copper/silver veins, developed simultaneously to the planned T3 Open-Pit mine could make a substantial contribution to the T3 profitability.Sharin With the current drilling programme yielding reliably consistent vein intersections the JV has agreed to initiate a 30-hole infill drill programme targeting an underground mine resource project and to work towards the release of a T3 Underground Project scoping-study by mid-2018.” | dogrunner11
06/7/2018 16:33 | Wahat?!! Neither of us know when results will be resleased, CEO suggested 4 weeks to news in a slip of tongue comment. Fact we have BOTH heard that copper of signicance has been hit is hardly public knowledge, although I will sit tight and await confirmation. No matter what happens we are only a few drill holes into a very large campaign, getting our knickers in a twist at this early stage really? Calm down dear. | dogrunner11
06/7/2018 15:42 | "Nah our CEO said more drilling results in circa 4 weeks, 4 weeks ago." You either have no experience in investing in AIM or do but lack the basic knowledge. nO WOUNDER ONLY FEW MAKE MANY IN aim AND I DOUBT ITS YOU. | oilisgold

06/7/2018 10:20 | lol pump & dumpers oilisgold/dogrunner Image Source: AAP Medianet Mining Journal reported that Resources have increased from 50 million tonnes grading 0.92% copper to 60 million tonne at 0.98% copper. MOD's initially anticipated USD 155 million project was flagged to produce 23,000 tonne per annum of contained copper from a 2.5 million tonne processing operation, with the expansion to 4 million tonne per annum costing another USD 37 million. A feasibility study is expected to be completed at the end of the March quarter in 2019. MOD has not specified potential output beyond the expanded 28,000tpa scenario. The upgraded resource follows completion of a 90-hole program of infill and extensional diamond core drilling around the planned pit at T3 A major regional drilling program is also underway. MOD holds a 70% interest in the project, with AIM-listed Metal Tiger owning the balance. Source : Mining Journal | dreamtwister
06/7/2018 09:06 | But i doubt it be next week. Unless MOD are keeping it very quite, normally its a leaky ship. | oilisgold
06/7/2018 08:58 | "Drilling assays mid next week, exceeding expectations what I’m hearing." interesting YOU SAY THAT. The second and third drill hit visual Copper last week, so I was a bit surprised no RNS. Reckon it be all together. | oilisgold

05/7/2018 14:46 | What makes me laugh and sad at the sametime is investors that have been here for a long time hoping for life changing sums. The market works in a strange way, making the big boys even richer and leaving small time investors with a poor deal. Lets hope MTR gets a decent offer for its 30%. 6p will nit be fair value, so i hope the offer that is about to come in is in excess of 6p. | oilisgold
05/7/2018 11:32 | We all are awaiting the blockbuster news on drilling. Just need to hit one discovery to let this find a new trading range. 3p soon to be a distant memory. | oilisgold
04/7/2018 16:35 | dreamtwister - that is an internet myth. None of the big brokers lend out shares. If you don't believe me, give yours a ring. | mogwhy
04/7/2018 15:47 | They have a chunk of options at 6p, I doubt they will want zero return on them. | dogrunner11
04/7/2018 15:15 | Sprott were the biggest share holders in Mariana Resources before the offer was accepted. sometimes the offer is too good to decline. Its all about the big boyz and not about the small fish investors. Understanding AIM is not childs play. | oilisgold
04/7/2018 13:14 | shareholder should hold in certificates to prevent brokers loaning their holdings to prevent a hostile take over. | dreamtwister
