19/9/2017 11:34 | MTR mkt cap currently less than a third of £66m - MTR Undervalued? | cool hand kev
19/9/2017 10:51 | Don't forget MOD current mcap is AUD 111m, about £66m, and a recent valuation said 50% higher based on what's already known. Ongoing drill results could change all that. MTR owns roughly a third incl their direct holding of so its not exactly a disaster, more a case of figuring the best way of negotiating through an admittedly messy period. | paleje
19/9/2017 08:45 | Another 8% decline, inflicting sentiment & chart damage!! | goldenshare888
18/9/2017 21:27 | I imagine Sprott are locked in.... and they may even wish to be, but sometimes one can deduce too much, everything into cash might be good: then a fresh avenue where/ when the tiger could change its stripes into spots, or pay out cash. Story isn't quite finished yet IMHO also: The Americans might consider increasing their investment and so making MTR their 'shell' operation. That group is most successful and I'd like to think they have a neat handle on this London company. | rhuvaal2
18/9/2017 20:27 | Very short of cash too | defcon3
18/9/2017 20:15 | It is always the same when things start to go wrong....some punters will be supportive how ever low it goes and until they have lost the lot. I don't think mtr is in that category but I do think honestly it is in a real mess | barnetpeter
18/9/2017 20:15 | I like the Botswana asset. I think it has the potential to be a world class asset. I don't think that value will be fully realised in an Investment vehicle like MTR. MOD is the sensible option. I wonder what Sprott think of today's news about getting advice on what to do with the 30% JV. Probably will sell out and buy MOD like they originally wanted to. | defcon3
18/9/2017 20:12 | Beware silly unduly negative posts: almost as many buys as sells today and majority of posts here are quickie notes, not of sane sensible balanced material. | rhuvaal2
18/9/2017 17:21 | Dreadful news. Big delay and they want to flog off mod? Why? That was the big deal. Have they spent all the cash on this Thai deal? Fire sale??? Why does this now justify a 20 million mkt cap? I smell a disaster here and if the cash has gone and mod is sold cheap you will get your 1.4 and much lower. What a shame! | barnetpeter
18/9/2017 16:15 | Sell off since 2pm. American (Sprott) investors have had enough too. I'll lower my buy target to 1.4p | defcon3
18/9/2017 16:14 | i had a green curry last night that was probably worth more than mtr's thai offering | brando69
18/9/2017 15:22 | Was that Red Rock sale for short term funding? | uknighted
18/9/2017 15:02 | co is run by puppies. how old is the CEO? that in itself is a red flag for me | brando69
18/9/2017 14:57 | The problem, I think, is that regardless of how good the MOD asset may be, they're short of cash and have been selling small parcels of peripheral holdings. They must have thought Thailand would proceed because they committed spending to the jv and also increased stake directly in MOD. But now faced with postponement (or worse) they have to get cash from somewhere so more placings will be called for, I imagine Sprott would probably tell them where to go and others would be very wary now. They need some exceptional news from MOD to lift sentiment otherwise unfortunately it looks like more pain to come for holders imo. And I include myself. | paleje
18/9/2017 14:13 | Lol. Wishful thinking. 1.5p buy target. No doubt some morons will buy them off me at £1.50 | defcon3
18/9/2017 14:00 | That was my sell target defcon. You can have mine at £1.50 though, no commission. | paleje
18/9/2017 13:17 | £1.50 or 1.5p? More Buys than Sells | cool hand kev
18/9/2017 12:21 | Unsurprising news regarding Thailand. I wouldn't be surprised if that never gets off the ground. Botswana the only decent asset MTR have. For an Investment company with one real asset which is still some years from production, MTR is fairly priced. £1.50 buy target. | defcon3
18/9/2017 08:21 | Thailand sounds messy, they must have seen this coming, Bots to the rescue? | paleje
14/9/2017 15:38 | Not necessarily. We've only just got the RNS but I imagine they would have been in talks for some weeks. They were still getting financial info confirmed up to 25th August, I think they would have waited for that before talking too seriously. So from that point, less than 3 weeks, during which they may have talked with several parties, they have now appointed Paragon. And in turn, Paragon may have been informally sounding out interested parties during that 3 weeks so it might not be a panic action at all. We always think the worst. | paleje
14/9/2017 12:31 | Puzzled by today's news. If the Thai IPO was on track and due to complete within weeks, why are they only now engaging this firm? Something smells here. No comments from the company through the rns either. | defcon3
07/9/2017 20:28 | Have millions of these, and not selling any | rhuvaal2
06/9/2017 11:34 | t3 highlights and a lot more to come. | dreamtwister
04/9/2017 08:25 | copper on the up again | tsmith2
01/9/2017 07:26 | Should get a RNS here shortly | tsmith2 |
