i took a big position in ECR..I mean £2m market cap is like a licence to print money with the potential they have in victoria,australia...some of the gold grades down there are just massive

Temmujin,

1) ecr stock sold coz they made a big profit.
2) Mtr needed money for other things
3) Mtr still have warrant bank
4) Mtr still have agreement ref fees for assistance with effective utilisation of Ecr large tax loss
5) ecr's then chief was the wrong man for the job, and needed to go, which he eventually did..

There's a few reasons for starters...

Sanderson Capital Partners have increased their holding in Kibo. ECR definitely look on the up. I agree with Piperpeter there. Greatland Gold share price has been moving up recently. MTR share price seems do be a little slow in reacting to those moves not to mention others such as MOD. Patience will reward here I think.

They disposed of the shares prior to the reorganisation at ECR, I do not know why, other than for a profit over the purchase price. They retained 500 million warrants at the time, but a consolidation of the shares (at ECR) since then would, I assume, mean a consolidation of the warrants, making that figure now 2.5 million, assuming of course that they are still valid.

so why did MTR dispose of their shares in ECR earlier last year? or am i mistaken?

I believe ECR may have been overlooked, temmujin.

It had a full financial overhaul last year, including consolidation of shares 3 months ago.

It has no major debt now, raised £500,000 5 months ago and has just now raised a further half million via a Chinese Company who want 29.9% of the shares.

It is ready to go drilling and has its eye on a small gold processing plant in Argentina.

I don't see a catch, I do see an opportunity.

MOD up 8% now 0.053/0.054...nearly doubled in a month or two...so MTR should be nearer 3p than 2p...definitely topping up first thing

ECR does look cheap at 2m...whats the catch peter?

Is it more likely for the market cap of MTR to double to £34 million in the near term, or the market cap of ECR to double to £4 million in the near term?

Mtr have warrants. They sold their shares ages ago. D not think they still retain any shares in Ecr.

Think they still have the agreement with Ecr to benefit from any help supplied to take advantage of ecr's $66 mill tax loss as well...

Have been directed to the relevant RNS's by Piperpeter on the ECR thread so need to answer my question. MTR have shares and warrants so that is good as ECR seems to be doing very well.
