I bet they got a lot of duff forms returned - I hold shares through 2 separate brokers and I insisted both told me how to complete the forms so I didn't risk losing 30% tax... both checked with registrars and yet still came back with slightly different answers! [eg. signing the first page!]

No date was given for payment was it? Could be just clerical or they want a few more to tender.

I've emailed TDW because I'd heard nothing from them and there's nothing on their website. I'll post whatever answer I get.

So... heard back from Selftrade/Equiniti who have said that I must complete the *DI Form* for tax status - apparently the shares in my nominee account are held as DIs.

battlebus - do you mean Hargreaves Lansdown? If so, did they send you the forms by email or post? I've had nothing and there's nothing on the Corporate Actions page of their website.

thx

I think you might be missing my point battlebus - Selftrade have indeed been in contact and have said "fill in the form or you'll have the tax deducted"... but they can't tell me which tax form I have to complete (presumably as I'm neither certificated or depository interest holder!).

Luckyjonah i have already filled in a form just to say what amount to tender, your broker/nominee will contact you. Its called metal tech DI form (depository interest only) and a declaration form for Isreali tax status.

Has anyone else spoken to their brokers about the tender yet?

FWIW Selftrade seem to think you have to complete a form, but unfortunately they don't seem to know which form. I'm waiting for them to come back to me.

Dowgate also not sure what is needed, they too are coming back to me later.

Anyone else found out anything? [Can't say I'm 100% clear on what "Depository Interests" are, I thought they were like ADRs and different from holding shares electronically in a nominee account like most UK shareholders probably do! And the one thing they don't mention in all those tender offer docs is what to do if that's your situation...!]

The only risk is the exchange rate as the tender is priced in $US. But yes, they do seem a bit slow sometimes with these obscure stocks.
