I view it in terms of income, appreciate others may have different thoughts.

Whoever mentioned Shires Income Trust on here a few months ago, thanks.

85k @ 429 @ 16.21 probably a buy. Large chunck at a cost of 364k. Interesting. Any thoughts?

I really don't understand the fascination for this trust. It sells itself on not cutting its dividend, yet its failed to outperform the ftse all share on a capital basis. Much better trusts out there. Sold my holding I have accumulated on a monthly basis over the last year - it was a good trust to do that mind....

I'm a simple soul. I bought mine when the yield reached 6% and happy to hold from here onwards. I would only sell if the shares rose to push the yield to 4%.

It changes monthly usually, try to add a few on .. the world is ending type days,
And sell a few on buoyant sentiment.

Would much prefer some market weakness ATM, but this looks a powerful
Upwards move, fingers crossed for a couple of down days )

What persuades you to go in for Unit trusts Tim? (rather than Investment trusts).

Thanks EI for pointing these outVery interesting share.Looks like the financials have pulled it down while gsk has helped it recently The divi is incredibly consistent probably the most consistent I have come across Considering getting in at £4 or below as it looks like a good entry.Looking for a long term steady income investment. In terms of yield these look better than many of the equity income unit trusts I follow although the fall from £5 would have seriously reduced total returns.

tel, below the top tier holdings they hold SL as one example, PRU from
memory, MKS etc.

MRCH generally underweight defensives.

seems strange that share price languishing in the mire given that most holdings have risen lloyds been the poorest performer in the holdings , also 6p dividend for holders on 15 th of month
