12/6/2020 19:07 | British Airways, easyJet and Ryanair launch legal action over quarantine rules The three airlines say the government rules will have a devastating effect on British tourism and the wider economy By Simon Foy 12 June 2020 • 9:46am The three largest airlines operating in Britain have launched a joint legal bid to overturn the Government's controversial quarantine rules that require arrivals to the UK to self-isolate for 14 days. Ryanair, easyJet and British Airways said the "flawed" plan, which came into effect on Monday, "will have a devastating effect on British tourism and the wider economy and destroy thousands of jobs". The carriers have asked for the judicial review to be heard as soon as possible. In a joint statement issued by BA owner IAG , the airlines argued that there was no scientific evidence for such a strict policy. They also dismissed the idea of "air bridges", which the Government has presented as a potential alternative to the quarantine plan. "The airlines have not yet seen any evidence on how and when proposed 'air bridges' between the UK and other countries will be implemented," they said. | papagai3

11/6/2020 09:33 | Swissport Cargo Services Belgium will neither temporarily nor permanently apply for a license to take over the activities of the bankrupt companies Swissport Belgium - the largest handler of passenger aircraft at Brussels Airport - and Swissport Belgium Cleaning. 11/6/2020 09:31 | Belgian story is a big industry signal about pricing. Services have to be priced in a fair fashion or no services. Very good for the industry if the new contract gets signed as needed. | kaos3
11/6/2020 09:28 | There will be no go-around for the insolvent baggage handler Swissport at Brussels Airport. How to handle baggage handling at Brussels Airport is still unclear. At the beginning of next week, Brussels Airlines, Swissport's most important customer, will resume its flights. Legally speaking, two baggage handlers have to work at the national airport. But after the bankruptcy of Swissport, only Aviapartner remains. Maybe what for MNZS | papagai3
