I'm waiting for the outcome of Stirling Industries proposes acquisition of Ipsen. If it goes ahead, how will the cash be raised, around £150M is proposed. Will there be a Rights Issue element? If so, will this provide a further maths problem to tax getting's brain.

28 million shares traded today with little price change, similar to volumes on some days last week with no price change. And the main holders on the register report no ownership change. Are the traders just churning the stock raking in the fees or is there something else going on?

MRO does take a hit on any market weakness, however think the latest
results represent a step change in sentiment here, unless we are looking at recession next year.

unusual for MRO to be in the top 6 of share sales by volume... it happened today. I wonder why

I was sitting on a 20% gain so I sold half and locked in some profit at £2.05, for me I think Pre October 31st any share I have in profit and at a high could retrace so I am leaning towards cash.

My dogs like ITV and BT hopefully will not get lower as they are at an entry level now so I am holding.

Who knows what Brexit will bring to the fortunes of Melrose as they sweat the assets of GKN looking for another £160 mlln payout for directors.

Jackdaw, try Margaret Thatcher. I believe Barack Obama and Donald Trump enjoy a round of golf.

My Dad asked me what I thought the 5 year upside was, I've gone for the equivalent
of £3.30 a share, very approx.

If anyone has any thoughts on this would be interested to hear, thanks.

Not sure who you would find interesting, Jimmy Savill, Dr Shipton, Bernard Manning, Nicola Sturgeon.

Golf is a sport for boring people don't you think?

Ever met anyone with an interesting and exciting personality at a golf club?

Jackdaw, yes I’ve played that one before. You get the ferry over to the course. It’s a great setting.

A great golf course South of Lisbon called "Troia", across the river from Setubal.
Troia the destroyer we called it.

Meanwhile, I’m off to Portugal soon to play golf and drink excessively. Can you advise me on the gravy situation in Lisbon and Cascais please?

Sold 50% of my holding, that leaves me with 10 shares and a piece of bread to dip into my beef gravy.

If the Stirling Industries acquisition of Ipsen goes ahead, could there be some link with Melrose other than through the historical connections of the Directors?

Ipsen supply furnaces & technology for heat treatment of metals, a process I would guess that aerospace may use.

Are the Melrose - Stirling connections stronger than we might believe?
Are Melrose providing guidance to Stirling?
Will there be a good gravy with our meat tonight?

Who knows the answer to any of these questions? My guess is that there are some yes answers here, and not necessarily just to the gravy one.

I don't post much on these boards as many are just trying to boost the price or have some other motive. Many are just idiots.

Stop loss on your investment is always a good idea, but 10% on a £2 share is cutting it fine. Also by the time you read it in the Sunday papers, any news has already been reacted to by the market. The papers are generally not making their own predictions but getting the tips from other sources that have already published. Watch the trends yourself.

We are told by brexitplus :-
"I haven’t recently and don’t intend to post much here. Like Yertiz I have much more important things to do than waste my time here".

Well, I suppose the battering he's taken from Burford and MINUS500 have given him a few more important things to do.

Otherwise, brexitplus has indeed pointed out a critical error in my analysis of Stirling, which he believes, I suppose, could affect the whole future of the Company and the prospects for their shareholders.

On the other hand, it could be irrelevant and the means of raising the capital to make the acquisition could be the important factor for shareholders.

Of course with his well known astuteness, he will be coming in as an investor when he knows the full details of the acquisition. I hope he's not too late.

B+, well given he’d never even heard of a stop-loss I guess we shouldn’t be surprised!
