Mr Stephen Young, who is stepping down as Chief Executive of Meggitt on 31 December 2017 prior to his retirement at the end of April 2018, will join the Board of The Weir Group PLC, which provides engineering solutions for the minerals, oil and gas, power and industrial markets.
Mr Young will be appointed as a Non-Executive Director of The Weir Group PLC and member of their Audit Committee from 1 January 2018, becoming Chairman of their Audit Committee from 26 April 2018.
