07/9/2007 07:47 | RebelsRUs between you and me . I sold pet the other day at 1.46 | cat100
07/9/2007 07:46 | Well, I am not selling this. | rebelsrus
07/9/2007 07:45 | There are 21 days to go. Anyone can step up to the plate . I think there is more in this | cat100
07/9/2007 07:45 | Certainly planning to hold tight to shares 'til we see the obese woman warble. Has anyone waded through the full documentation to see if there is a loan note alternative. The last thing that is needed is a fat CGT bill to make the cheap probable take out price look even worse :-((( | cwa1
07/9/2007 07:45 | Gutted. I bearly made a profit on this. Sorry to hear your misfortunes on this one Cat. Let hope PET comes in with the goods... | rebelsrus
07/9/2007 07:41 | Hold your shares. This is not a done deal. | cat100
07/9/2007 07:35 | Well this is a disappointment. Though I hold from the mid teen's and can walk away with a little profit the company has sold out way too early here. Still I'm sure the directors will be handsomely rewarded in time though for their efforts! I noted 1775's call yesterday and was in two minds whether to act on it. I remember a post from him many moths ago on the TMC board and he called the news spot on that time too. Just wished I had bought a few more in both cases now. Like he says, time to look for another addition to the portfolio. C'est la vie. | smudgeroo
07/9/2007 07:24 | good value for shareholders?? There must be plenty of companies out there who could have farm in, you could asked 2 companies to join in and give them 25% each for the block for drilling that potentially have more than 1 billion barrels oil in place. I can do a lot better than them! | deanmatlazin
07/9/2007 06:54 | This transaction makes me think I have set my target prices for other shares I own at too high a level.... MOG, FOGL etc... Having also lost Sondex this week (at a much more respectable premium) I wonder if I will have any shares left come Christmas... | romin
07/9/2007 06:53 | This is very disappointing. While selling the co was always an option, why now? With one licence apparently signed and two others a matter of time, the price wd surely have broken out strongly, and waiting a few months wd have got us all a much better price. Perfect timing from Cairn. | labatie
07/9/2007 06:46 | By the way 1775.......Don't know who you are, but spot on mate. | duplicate book
07/9/2007 06:44 | I am absolutely gutted!!! Think its a total sell out and I know that there are a few on here who hold at a price quite a bit higher than 23p!!! I can honestly say that I never once expected this to happen at this stage, and 23p for Medoil is an absolute steal. Totally devastated. | duplicate book
07/9/2007 06:38 | no equivalent comment from 1775 on the Plectrum board (PPE) which was taken out by Cairn as well today at 13p (vs 12p)... wonder what you can infer from that... | romin
07/9/2007 06:27 | must admit i beleive little i read on bb(check it out though) 1775,spot on! | farnham
07/9/2007 06:24 | Agreed Romin. Poor offer for a co. with such prospects. Doubt there will be much interest though from anyone else in the current climate, unfortunately. Who know though. Hope springs eternal. Interesting to see 1775 had it spot on-and the day before the offer! Even MORE interesting to see that the closing offer price for Cairn was, guess what? Yup 1775. Which it must have flirted with as 1775 posted. Now that IS a coincidence, isn't it guys?? Sometimes it's who you know and not what you know :=/. Hope you've covered your tracks well 1775. Also, can you let us know who's next, please? :-) Still, it will be a chunky boost to my portfolio today, especially in difficult markets, so musn't grumble too much. | cwa1
07/9/2007 06:11 | Offer for MedOil at 23p is a pretty poor offer. Blaming a few months market volatility is a poor excuse for exiting a long term story at this price. John Lander, Chairman of medOil, said: "The Offer provides medOil Shareholders with an opportunity to lock-in value at an attractive premium to the market value at a time when markets are experiencing considerable volatility. The offer from Cairn reflects the quality of the medOil exploration portfolio." | romin
07/9/2007 06:09 | just re read it ........yes i am.................. | farnham
07/9/2007 06:08 | 23p................. | farnham
06/9/2007 19:33 | So 1775, do you have any reaction to any of the foregoing? | labatie
06/9/2007 14:02 | duplicate book - thanks for the reply post 2608! | petemorr
06/9/2007 11:29 | I don't think we should read anything into 1775's post unless they are willing to be more specific on what they mean. On a side note, I'd be very disappointed if MDL ever got taken over at this stage. Anyway, DB, thanks for info in post 2613. | rebelsrus
06/9/2007 11:25 | All very Delphic. | labatie
06/9/2007 10:33 | Looks like thats that sorted out and cleared up then!!!!!!! What was the point of that excersise 1775? | duplicate book
06/9/2007 09:09 | Since we were holding firm in the first place, what is the point of these comments, particularly when the last two seem diametrically opposed to the first one? The only interpretation of the initial comment which wd not make the other two contradictory is that 'days being numbered' means that MDL is being taken over, which wd be a shame. | labatie |
