Should get news this week on refinancing ahead of results on Tuesday 18th March. And an update on the sale of Limburg, probably related to the refinancing.

Mecom announced in its IMS on 15(th) October 2013 that it had initiated a process to refinance its remaining bank borrowings. This process continues, with the Group expecting to complete new financing arrangements before the final results presentation in March 2014.

This looks ridiculously undervalued compared to Johnston Press.Not only does Mecom have a lower market cap, it doesn't have £300 million of debt and it is profitable and has much larger revenues.

I wonder when the market is going to wake up to Mecom.

Think it was your post on my doubler thread that alerted me to MEC butch - nice call. Got SNTY off there too - already up 100% there - been a productive thread this year and still only March.

Might be good read across from MEC to JPR which is also looking strong imo.

Its a technical projection, based off the chart, pork.
The real catalyst with this one was and still is the small free float of shares available on the open mkt.

Fag pack calc says of 121 mill share float only about 26 mill left on the mkt.

we have tracker funds needing some of that now, and lets face it outstanding stock is worth about £30mill, not a lot left to buy up is there really. ;-)

especially once this has a potential divi in place.


we have a couple more catalysts to move this stock higher near term and then the medium term European recovery to hope for.

I thought the same thing Butch at 2.15, was thinking lower before bit 2.15 is only a Pe of 10 which seems very reasonable imo

God dammit, closed my spread bet on the Russian news the other day...just in case. Still got a chunk of these in shares though :) 150p plus, here we come!

I'm up over 100% on initial purchase and have been adding big chunks all the way up at key intervals.


Anyone who caught my tip off CR's great 100% thread should be up about 50% today.

Plenty more to come with funds now buying in i believe.

funny as my chart highlights that we are about to see a massive surge in volume over the next week or so.

i found yesterdays wider price action (breadth) vs the "terrible news' divergence a very powerful indicator in the true strength of this market. telling it was.




Perhaps, the emperor does have some items of clothing on, after all.
