04/7/2011 11:36 | Another 50k - this time a Late Trade declaration from 15:37 on Friday (I assume!): Definition of a Type LC trade: 'LC' Late Trade Correction A correction submitted more than three days after the trade date or where deferred publication is permitted at any time after the trade report was submitted to the Exchange reporting system. | skyship
01/7/2011 18:19 | ursus - thnx for that | skyship
01/7/2011 16:42 | "C" trades are usually extended settlement bargains (ie T+10 or more) in my experience | ursus
01/7/2011 14:39 | Thanks Skyship. Frankly, I doubt anyone would get anywhere near it at that price, but it would liven things up nicely. | gingerplant
01/7/2011 13:58 | Note the Golden X: | skyship
01/7/2011 13:53 | Yes, thnx for that johnv - however with so many chunky trades there is more interest on the main board today. The "C" trades mean Conditions, or bargain conditions. The LSE define this as "Certain Conditions were agreed between the two participants at the time of trading." Doesn't add much to our guessing there then! Gingerplant - yes, if you scroll back a fortnight you'll see I was suggesting that might happen, perhaps after the Buyer has accumulated a reasonable entry stake. If he can then take out the Norton Securities & Rimpton Securities stakes (5.9% each) then he would be well away. Those stakes are the original McKay family holdings; and there could be a few more hidden away. | skyship
01/7/2011 12:09 | In case you dont know, you can get the plus trades by typing MCKS.GB in the trades section. | johnv
01/7/2011 12:02 | Thanks Skyship, I see another 50k trade, I assume a buy. | crawford
01/7/2011 11:11 | SKYSHIP - I realise I'm going to sound like the daftest kind of BB ramper here, but it wouldn't surprise you if someone was getting a reasonable stake to make a cheeky bid at, say, 160p or so - n'est-ce-pas? | gingerplant
01/7/2011 10:38 | Crawford - Yes, and has been for absolutely ages. All in small lots as & when available, but still shy of the 3% declaration level it would seem. 127.75p bid. You made a well-timed top-up this morning. | skyship
01/7/2011 10:25 | I did notice that SKYSHIP, someone seems to be accumulating. | crawford
01/7/2011 09:18 | A couple of large buys again today; certainly the 50k could be our mystery buyer, presumably taking the possible 50k sale @ 124p yesterday - assuming it was a sale of course. Difficult to call whether many trades are actually sales or buys! | skyship
01/7/2011 08:44 | Bought another 5828 without any bother, seems stock available. | crawford
29/6/2011 15:33 | Very tightly held, most avaliable is 1k | johnv
23/6/2011 00:00 | guys im in MCKS you may like to look at AGR next year on a yield of 7% they will transfer from the Retail Sector to the Real Estate sector after the sale of their pharma business for £40m read their results and be impressed | divinausa1
22/6/2011 19:56 | Is he buyer or seller? 126p seems closer to the bid all day rather than the offer. But even so helped the price anyway. | johnv
22/6/2011 16:54 | Our buyer picks up another 50k @ 126p... | skyship
20/6/2011 17:57 | AlanJI, Interesting piece on the CP+ board from you about the various prop companies. What are your thoughts on QED & MERE? Is it too late to top up in MERE consider if you buy at 180p or so, you will be expecting approx 270p back later during the next year or do you believe there is better returns in MCKS. | johnv
20/6/2011 17:16 | Agreed Skyship - I'd be very happy to say bon voyage at 170p! :-) | gingerplant
20/6/2011 17:10 | Just had another look and the listed family holdings are less than I thought at about 15% - of course there could be a lot of family holdings less than 3% each but many of them may be open to a takeover. I had previously been a bit dismissive of Skyship's hopes of a takeover but must admit it is more of a possibility than I had thought. 175p would still provide the buyer with an attractive discount. MCKS must be one of the largest un-targeted discounts about. | alanji
20/6/2011 16:00 | Hi DAVID - but surely it will be taken out before then! I can't imagine any holders other than the McKay family voting against a bid North of, say 170p. 170p would provide plenty of upside for existing holders and similar for a bidder - providing the bid can be made cheaply. | skyship
20/6/2011 14:49 | FWIW, I still reckon MCKS to be worth north of £2 if you're a patient investor. | gingerplant
20/6/2011 14:39 | Skyship, got quite a bit coming from MNR so looking to put it somewhere. MERE was the obvious choice and this close second. Your right about the 50 day ma. | johnv
20/6/2011 14:32 | Johnv - true; but even better is the GoldenX - the 50day MA crossing up over the 200dayMA with both MAs in an upward move. Also 120p has been the pivotal fulcrum point for this stock over the past 9months; and again, on Friday & today, it is the 120p support level that turned the ship around... | skyship
20/6/2011 12:33 | Bought some here. Whats interesting for myself is the curving of the 200 day ma with us bouncing off it. | johnv |
